I got my highspeed SBC/yahoo internet package today. How long does it take to hook it

up? Minutes? Hours? I don't feel like taking the time tonight unless I can do it in a few minutes.

i had mine up and going in bout 10 mins. just make sure you put a dsl/phone filter on every phone in your house our you wont recieve any phone calls.

Depends.
If the DSL is ready, you will be on line as soon as you are ready. Follow instructions and all will be well. Then, dump Yahoo, the connection and SBC crap and let the PC run your DSL.

If all is not ready, the tech will have to trace your line back to the switching station only to find out your line was not upgraded or something was not turned on and have to fix it, TOMORROW.

It ain't all bad., Usually on at over 100 Meg baud, So, enjoy !

WHat? I thought having dsl freed up your phone line?

It does free up your phone line, you just need the filters. Radioshack or something should have them, relatively inexpensive.
