I got into a fight...

I'm pretty much the quiet, reserved type. I don't mess with anyone, and am pretty tolerant of many things other people get so easily upset about. With this guy, however, he used to be able to tear me apart easily. We both knew it. But that day, he started saying some negative things to me. I told him to just not even mess with me and settle down. This spurred him on, because he didn't like me talking to him like that. He started threatening to "knock me out", as he put it. I told him that if he did try to mess with me, that I wouldn't back down from him, not anymore. He stopped the car, got out and started to come over to my side. The windows were down, and the car was shut off. I didn't feel like getting cornered in my seat, so I got out, too. That turned into a 25 minute argument, with me trying everything from joking around with him to apologizing to him. It was my car, he had my keys, and I wasn't about to start walking and leave my car with him. You know the rest of the story.

Well your supposed friend sounds like a real insecure fruit cake. Maybe he did deserve to get his ass kicked. Might have mentioned that in your earlier posts lol.

I would not associate with him anymore after something like that.

i am 30 and have not been in a fight in many years. i learned a couple of hard ass lessons early in my life. growing up i was pretty much a smart ass and not worried about shit. my best friend was the exact same way and we had our share of squabbles with other people. we didn't give a shit! long story short....in 1990 my best friend got into a squabble, and i was not there, thank god. he took 2 rounds from a 357 to the chest, and one to the head. R.I.P. bylo 1990...that fucked me up pretty bad. his brother, anthony, another one of my best friends took it pretty hard also. in 1991 anthony got in a fight at a club and took one round from a 22 to the heart. R.I.P. anthony 1991...these incidents have forever changed my life. i have never been in a fight since, and never will be unless it is 100% unavoidable.

Ummm......I call BS as well. I have never seen a roundhouse in a street fight except in a video game. If this story is true you went looking for the fight and picked a kid that had no chance. The fact that you count and track the fights you have been in is proof that you are probably the aggressor.

I'd better re-define my words, since people are missing my explanation earlier in this thread. When i referred to "roundhouse", most of you know it simply as a "round kick". No jumping up or spinning around involved (<waste of time & energy). And like i said earlier, believe what you want about the incident or my intentions, it doesn't matter to me either way. I'm not going to put any effort into any arguments. Besides, its been almost 2 months since it happened. I don't give it any more thought. Good to have a huge response to the post, though, positive or negative.

i'm so glad to hear the opposition to facial striking with closed fists, i was a bouncer for over 13 years and never got sued, mostly due to not caving peoples faces in, but relying on locks and chokes, nice to know there are educated people passing on their knowledge here.
