In a society, which has presented itself as an institution so consumed with image, fashion, weight, material wealth, and money, it is no wonder there is a significant decrease in morals. Older generations blame younger generations and vice versa, but could it be that both groups are to blame for the much controversial issue of older men dating significantly younger females?
Accepted as a norm, an age-old tradition, older males tend to desire younger females, but how old is too old and where the society draw the line? One cannot say in general why this occurrence is so prominent in our society that shuns the very thought of it, but rarely stresses its disgust with our youthful females being preyed upon by these males.
According to one 23-year-old man, who is currently dating a seventeen year old, older men prefer younger females because they have probably been with (sexually) fewer males, if any, which makes them more easily manipulated. Also, they are more impressionable, which makes them easier to manipulate, therefore cause less conflict in the area of interests.
Another male, 27, who admits dating teens in the past, says that what attracts him most about younger females is their tendency to possess an innocence, which older women cannot obtain.
When asked whether or not sex played a significant role in their choosing younger female partners, the 23-year-old stated that from his experience it was not age, which determined a woman's easiness, but rather her character. He went on to say he prefers to have sex with older women because they are more experienced in that area and they do not automatically assume emotions are connected to the act like majority of younger females do. He added that even though older women are his preference, age is not enough. He also admitted to taking the virginity of two teens and states that although he felt a sense of triumph for being their firsts, he has had better sex with older women.
"Younger females are less experienced and naive when it comes to certain things. So it makes it easier to get them to do what you want and mold them to be what you want them to be.They are high strung on emotions so that's what we (men) have to play on. Older women are stupid too, but its just more work with them 'cause they've built up this whole "men ain't s%$#" mentality, but it's easy to get passed that."
The 27-year old said, "Younger females are easier to please. You give them a city and they think you gave them the world. As far as sex, I'm not going to say the age of the youngest female I've been with, but I will say it was an experience I'd rather forget. Sex is not the most important thing to me. I have taken a girl's virginity, but I respect how much that means to them and I always try to make sure they won't regret their first time." Very vague with his view on the sexual relationship between older men and younger females, he explained why he preferred the younger female as opposed to the older.
He went on to say that younger females tend to be sweeter in nature, easier to get along with, and more eager to please a man than older women.
Although a very small scope on such a broad topic, seeing just this much gives that much more insight into why older men are in hot pursue of females half their age.
We all have our personal opinion as to why older men prefer younger women and nine times out of ten we are more likely to say lust than genuine interest.
