I can't get pissed enough in the gym anymore, are steroids the answer?

Just walking in the gym is enough for me. Lots of people get lazy and try to take short cuts, you have to be truly dedicated to want to change your body. Once I put my headphones on its go time, I don't even notice other people in the gym usually. I'm there to lift, not to talk! If you ever feel unmotivated best advice is to look into a mirror....once you notice the things you have to work on thats all the motivation you need.

Personally I look as them to be a tool not an answer. I use the tools to reach a goal that I have set. Motivation, dedication and intensity has to come from you.

have someone smack u in the face right before a set... cheap halo fix

I agree. Where you from Bro? I would be willing to donate my time to smack you in the face to pump you up!!

:)

Just kidding Bro. There is a lot you can do for motivation. I think just being on gear would help out tremendously with the mental part of lifting.

Take a look in the mirror! Without a drug, wouldn't seeing what you need work on to get bigger/leaner motivation enough? If you cannot motivate yourself to workout without steroids you'll get nowhere.

When I first started lifting it was like every time I stepped into the gym was like me going all out, wanting to kill somebody. I had strong motivation since I was extremely depressed/angry at a certain woman, but that was a long time ago, and since then I've taken out all my anger on weights and I've seen a lot of shit. I still practice visualization before lifting and I never slack on my routine. I've done the perfect diet, so I know that food isn't what's wrong.

I've tried damn near every possible substance to get my drive back to where it was when I first started, and I research all the supplements to make SURE I'm getting the right stuff (i've gone as far as ordereding $170 worth of tongkat from fkn asia all the way to smoking before lifting) but it's just not happening.

What I'm trying to say is that lifting has gone from being something I was absolutely compelled to do to something like a chore. It's like I'm just not as mentally into it anymore, but I still want to improve my body and stay mentally tough, so I keep at it.

Get a really solid training partner or two.

They are awesome when you don't fancy training and vice versa.

Look for a different motivation.

One of my motivations is about making a difference in the world. When we walk around being physically fit, we are an advert 'wanna look good, ask me how' :)

It does motivate/shame/awaken people to do something.

Write down your goals, or find pictures of what you want (Jonnie Jackson's back for example if you want a dense back) and put in in your pocket. Look at it several times, especially before you go to do the workout. If your motivated, you'll bust your ass. If you don't get motivated, you don't want it that bad.

Try taking a couple weeks off from the gym completely. Sometimes people just get burnt out on something and need a little break. Then come back with more intensity than ever.

I have never heard it put that way. That is EXCELLENT advice. Next time i have a random dude grab my arm and snidely give the "work out much?" line i'll think about what you said and realize the shame/possible motivation he feels instead of wanting to beat him senseless lol.

Glad i read this thread.

The advice is good in this thread; I guess I should be more direct though. Does test make you FEEL more pumped up in the gym? Does test affect you mentally?
