How Would Have Beatrix Kiddo Died When She Was Buried Alive in killbill2?

If the dirt is deep enough yes it will stop airflow. Part of the reason that you get buries ~6ft down is to keep the smell from coming up through the ground. And no it isn't too hard to say cheers after that as I am a somewhat morbid person anyway.

Cheers,

Is it possible to scurry your way to the surface like she did from the coffin? It's only 6 feet, but there's a lot of weight in that dirt.

I don't think she could have done that either. 6ft under is alot of cubit of dirt that would be very hard to scurry through especially under a minute which is all the air she would have.

if i remember right (and i was playing footsies in this lecture, so dont quote me lol) the low oxygen wouldnt do much except cause nausea and that, but the high carbon dioxide in your blood makes you freak out, spasm, makes youre respiratory rate go through the roof and is a generally fucked up sort of feeling to ahve, before you lose conciousness and die.

there is no way a coffin of pine or whatever would be crushed under the weight of that dirt. no way. it takes a long time for the wood to rot, and then you eventually get a collapse in the ground at the grave

i reckon youd be dead inside an hour

MAn, that would have been a horrible death. I would have cut my wrist with the razor if I had been her.

probably would have died of fright or a heart attach.... people have been buried alive especially in the late 1900s .....Edgar Poe was so afraid of that that he had a bell attached to the coffin by a rope in case he woke up...i think they were also adding metal straws for breathing too...
.

A wake is called a wake cause they tried to "wake" your ass up before they buried you...

bullshit, youd die without trying everything first?

Well, heck yea I would try everything first but I would really freak out in that situation. Even the thought of it scares me to death. But like I said even if you got through the wood there is no way you could dig yourself out in 60 seconds.

man that would really suck, i think they had a problem with people being burried alive in japan from eating the really poisonous fish (puffer fish i think), they would go into a state where the heart was beating so slowly it could not be detected and the people were thought to be dead , some were found later turned over or with scratch marks all over there coffins. I'm pretty sure they have a law now that if someone dies and its thought to have been from a puffer fish poisoning, they wont burry the body for x amount of time.

Shrudder. Freaky.. I would never even eat puffer fish if I lived there. But then again I wouldn't fly my plane into a carrier either.

The answer is maybe. Here are the points.
pros:
1. Some of the virtical dirt would be displaced down into the coffin, probably enough to make a large differential in the surface load.
2. You can move dirt around you like a mole if you have space enough behind you(moving dirt from in front of you to behind you)
3. The huge adrenaline surge that would result from that kind of panic would help a lot.
4. Dirt that is slightly wet or has been compacted will cling to itself and allow for "tunneling"

Cons:
1. Odds of getting dirt in mouth are high, with increased breathing from exertion she could have possibly choked.
2. The dirt could have collapsed in around her and crushed her lungs whereby suffocating her much like a boa constrictor does to its prey.

I give it 3 to 1 odds of her being able to do it. The three being against.
