How to measure your legs?

Hey guys and gals,
When measuring your legs where should you put the measuring tape?
I always thought you were supposed to measure at the highest part up on your leg.... however my legs measure 27" up there, and I swear there are a lot of you guys whos legs look a lot bigger than mine who claim smaller measurements... am I measuring right or should I be measuring closer to the middle?

I think the middle of your quad is correct.

I don't think it matters, as loing as you are consistant so you can see any gains you make

I would measure at the biggest part of the thigh, wherever that happens to be.

If you have high quadricep tie ins (like me) you will not appear to have as big of a set of thighs as a person with like measurements who has lower tie ins. Also you will not be able to get your thighs as large as that other person because the muscle has less room to grow.

Some people will have the biggest part of their leg halfway down. If you have long quad muscle bellies and big hamstrings you will likely find the biggest measurement here.

Measure the legs just like you measure the arms. At the biggest part. I measure from the biggest part of the bicep to the biggest part of the tricep when measuring my arm. This is the only thing that makes sense to me, cause when I am measuring peak to peak, I can be sure I am measuring the same thing every time. Same idea goes for the legs.

I measure mine midway between the knee cap and the hip bone, because it's the same place everytime...which is what matters.

So measuring at the top of my leg would be considered fine if that is the largest part of my leg?

If you are measuring for yourself, then measure the same place every time, no matter where it is. If you are measuring to comprare with someone else, then measure where that person measured. Anything else is apples-to-oranges.
