How to eat more

Yes, I realize this post probably belongs in the diet forums, but it is very much directed at steroid users...

What do you do to eat more?

And I'm not just talking about vitamin B injections or using EQ. How is it that you manage to eat 4500 calories + without hooking yourself up to an IV drip?

We all know that the secret to getting big is training hard and eating big (well, and steroids....), so tell us about that ace up your sleeve:)

...
I like to have a whey protein/dextrose shake upon waking up, and eating breakfast 20 minutes later. Cereal is quite easy to eat. Milk and juice go down easily.

Well, we're gonna have to ask you to elaborate. How much, and when exactly do you smoke it?

No need to be a smartass

If you would have finished reading, you would have seen that I do eat breakfast 20 minutes after my breakfast shake. So there...

If you think it's that easy to eat 4500+ calories, you've obviously never done so.

i did read it all. you have a protein shake then juice and cereal. oh by the way, i am eatiing that much, give or take a few hundred. you should of planned ahead of time how to eat

Actually, those were simply some things I like to do. They're simply some foods that go down easily, not necessarily for breakfast, but any part of the day.

Again, you misread my post when you say I should have planned ahead of time how to eat. I am simply trying to gather information so I, as well as other people, can learn. I am able to eat that much, and have been eating ~ that much for a few weeks now.

We are all here to learn.

Mine is more of an incrimental system. I find that the more I force myself to eat 1 week the hungrier I am the days leading into the next week so if I want to hit 4500 cals i usually have to start a few weeks ahead of that and really force it down for a week or so. Then if my meals are spaced right i'll be more hungry natrually the next week and so on.
I haven't tried B12 injections yet, but I have to start looking into it.
This is not scientific by any means and probably is the result of individual chemistry more than anything but it's the best system i have come up with to date

Very good point. Your stomach does get larger, and you can accomodate more food. It's simply not going to happen over night.

but you asked, "What do you do to eat more?" i mean how more simple is it, just eat. do what you have to do. thats what we all do

It's not just that easy. Maybe it is for you, but I sincerely believe that once you get above 4500 calories a day, it becomes hard for the majority of the population to eat a clean diet.

It's easy to say just eat... there's certain foods that fill you up big time, and others that you can eat tons of and you'll still be hungry.

dont get me wrong, its not easy, especially if you eat clean. yea the cleaner you eat the more you might have to eat of it,and the fuller you get.and yea i do get sick of it,alot. but i force it down and eat every 2 hours, because thats what needs to be done. i havent taken any eating aids, cause i know nothing about them.

If you keep forcing yourself to eat...eventually you become hungrier as the weeks go by. So my boy is right.

cornfish pretty much summed it up, You have to condition yourself to eat more. You can't grow from a 2500 cal per day diet to 4500 cals in 1 week, and probably not even 2... It just takes conditioning. And in my opinion...for most people, it is easiest to get to those large calorie per day diets by using 1 "Gainer" shake per day. I am a firm believer in more than 1 shake per day. I sometimes have 3, it just depends on what type of diet or cycle that I am on. I mean think about it, some of those Gainer shakes have 1800 calories (I would split in half). So when you want a 4500 cal diet, you can get by with eating 2700 calories. Remember, this is my opinion only and comes from my experience with my personal body chemistry, needs, and experiences.

You need to eat more calorie dense foods. Things like cereal, oats, grilled chicken, (basically diet foods) etc. dont have a lot of calories. A normal serving of cereal with milk will get you about 500cals... depending on the cereal. You have to learn to eat things that pack a lot more calories when your trying to bulk.

Most meals at a fast food restaurant will easily put you over 1000cals, and normally a large pizza will run you around 200-250cals per slice. Not saying you should be eating pizza and fast food, just giving you an example.

the bros are right; you have to 'force feed' yourself until it becomes second nature (habit). We've all been conditioned to stop eating when we start feeling full. Try starting out by eating more frequent, smaller meals until your body becomes conditioned to eat more often, then gradually increase the amount you eat at each meal...slow and consistent...

True, cereal doesn't have a lot of calories, but it's so damn easy to eat. I can easily get 150g of carbs from cereal without feeling too full.

ya i would agree it is hard... when i start i think about stretching my stomach every time i eat... in a few days.. it is ready to go..
good post though..

it took me a good 4-5 weeks, but now i can't live without physcially having something to eat prety much all day. i would say i eat about every hour now, not the biggest thing, but i eat, and every two hours a qualitry meal. my freinds are eating lunch i am eating meal 5 or 6

I think working out is easy. I like it. But i have to eat all day every day. It sucks. When im at work its pretty easy. I go to break every two hours and eat. The weekends are tuff. I ride my bike and go places and its inconvienent to eat alot but i lose weight if i dont. Theres no Ace up my sleeve just food down my throat. ajust do it. you have to to grow.

but each bottle is
1000 calories !!!
220g carbs
50g protein
killer drink, im going to get a couple cases next week when i get paid !!!

Speaking of shakes... what's the most effective way to create your own weightgainer? I'd rather make my own than pay $30 for some 8 serving 1500 calorie sugar+protein mix.

Protein+bananas+milk works well, but how could you add more carbs (I'm more interested in carbs than fats)? Oats would fill you up too much, and I don't really want too many simple sugars. Any ideas?

Has anyone even clicked on my link post # 10 it has some good info.

Yes the pB is a good idea also.
