How often do you miss a workout?

I feel like crap tonight. I've got a bad cold and just don't feel like working out. How often do you guys blow off a workout. Sometimes I feel like a slave to the gym. However, right now I feel like I'm getting the flu for the 2nd time this winter.

Not very often. Maybe every 3 months. If I am injured or am just sick of working out I'll take a week off, and come back healed up and with renewed gusto.

I'll only miss a workout if I'm vomiting, lifeless, or don't feel I can make the planned weights.

I work on an overly agressive 4 day cycle, so if work or something comes up it's ok to stretch it to a 5 or 6 day cycle.

I think a lot of folks who miss days would be less likely to do so if they didn't wed themselves to a the 7 day week.

i only lift mon wed and fri, so i basically force myself no matter what to get to the gym and beat the previous weeks weights, i do take a week off every around every 8 weeks though to relax

I haven't missed one in a while, but they have been less than motivated. I plan on changing that tomorrow. :D

Well, I'll be the first to admit I miss all the time. I like to joke that I am officially the Laziest Bodybuilder of All Time. There is no justification, it's bad, and slows me down. But I'm a lazy fuck, so that's that.

Karma for being brutally honest. :FRlol:

Only when I really CAN'T go lifting....

I miss a workout about once every other week. Sometimes I just take an extra rest day when I feel I need it; sometimes I miss because I end up doing something else physically taxing, like rock climbing or kayaking. So even though I miss, usually it's for something else that is also great exercise.

I guess I have a more "loose" lifting schedule than most people: I lift to live, but I don't live to lift. Or something else profound like that. :D

What do you mean "miss" a workout? Is this different than a scheduled rest day? To be brutally honest, I can't remember the last time I didn't break a sweat at least once a day. It's either cardio or training for me....everyday.........gym is closed? I hit the streets..........always something to keep going............other than that, I schedule a day of once a week..........but cardio still on that day.........my .02, if you are lazy - sack up and go. If you REALLY have the flu, stay the hell out of the gym....at least mine anyways,,,,,,lol....

I skipped lats and bi's last night. Usually when I miss I'll try to make up in a later workout. I'll probably hit some lats for a few sets on my leg day. I usually hate to miss leg day because that means double soreness on the next leg day.

thats what the title s/b.......Often do you SKIP, not miss.........a workout...........lazy sob's.......

Never, that I don't make up later in the week.

Unless I am so sick I am physically unable to walk into my garage, I will make sure I do SOMETHING every scheduled training day.

I take a day off every 4th day, so if I skip earlier I just lift on the off day...therefore I take none off, during cycle at least.

Damn, I missed all week. I have really felt like shit but it allowed me to work a lot of overtime. My job isn't physical and I can do it even when ill.

I dont miss days.

off days are another story.

But unless I think I am overtraining I dont miss days.
