How often do YOU do SitUps?

4 or 5 days a week

Hmm? I just did 4x40. God i hat them.

Why not just do crunches instead, crunches isolate the abbs well, where sit-ups us synergy from surrounding areas. Roman chair situps target the lower abs well too.

Once a week is enough as long as your under 10% BF.

about 3 days a week.
with a 40lb dumbell on my chest.

I think I did some a few years ago.

That's too much like doing cardio and my metabolism is already way too high.
At least that's the excuse I use.

lol

in other words...sugarplum is built with 40 pounds of resistance already - LMAO

Yeah lower abs are my hard target.I do leg raises for them.

Once a week. Crunches, leg raises. I've been getting real lazy about doing aerobic training. Probably get out of breath running around the block.

Twice a week. Or every third day now and then

Whiskey

I do one set of 500 situps.........not PT test speed.....just steady and same pace.

I get the most out of my ab development that way....my abs react to high volume.....

When I was stationed @ Ft. Bliss, my bro was a cook..........he was one of these emo/punk/ska kids.......and he prided himself on being on the cutting edge.........he was the type of kid to form a band called "flutter kicks" or "side straddle hops".......

He was pure entertainment......a perfect complement to my gritty demeanor.

couldn't this be considered overtraining them? depending on what you do?

I do them 3 times a week, train them like i train my other body parts

I heard you needed a running start to walk. :FRlol:

every time i go to the gym; 3 sets of 25 of legraises and then 3sets of 25 sitting on the bench raising legs to my abs

Every other day.
Decline board w/85lb db - pyramid down
superset with side bends w/120x15 and straight leg lifts w/ankle weightsx15

at my gym we have these ankle straps you can hang from the pullup bar that are awesome too. One of my teammates was maxing out and all the blood rushed to his head and burst a blood vessel in his eyeball.

Roman chair situps are the best at hitting the abs. Leg raises are worthless imo.
