How much weight you guys add to weighted dips?

I gotta make me one of these for my power rack...used to love them!

um... what is it I'm missing here.. reverse??? what's a reverse dip??

Think of a dip--a normal one; now what i meant by reversing the dip, is exactly that, turning around on the dip bars/machine...its tweaks the dip and focuses a little more on the arms i think.

I never tried them with more than a pair of 45's, but also never really focused on them or did them at the begining of a workout.

I actually did my first sets of wheighted dips today :) 11 pounds... Mostly just trying out the belt :P It wasn't so long ago I couldn't do 5 reps with no extra weight. I did 12 reps and I'm 199 lbs today. 6'1". Going to do 22 pounds next time.

I do dips off and on usually higher rep range.

Added them as assistance with lower reps for the 5x5

last week did my final set with a 90 lb dumbbell for 8 reps.. Way below parallel :)

"At 230, I used to dip with 135 for 8, any more than that and the belt makes me chaffe"

Are you using a leather belt? I had problems with leather belts and switched to Ironmind's dip belt. That thing is great. It actually makes you want to do more dips just to wear it.

Im at week 7 of the 5x5 and have only managed to do a max of about 12 reps no weight. Thought fuck it might as well see how I go with weight. 8rx 10kg, 8r x 15kg, 8r x 20kg. Strange I think I can only do 12 reps no weight and still manage 8 reps with an added 20kg plate straped on. These are done all the way down . Body weight 104 kg.
