how much water do we need?

I wanted to know how much water do we actually need as bodybuilders and weightlifters
I’ve seen a lot of people say that you need a half a gallon others have said you need a gallon and some people actually claim to drink two gallons of water especially big bodybuilders
what is the reality and how much do you personally drink every day?

i would get 1 gallon of water per day like clockwork

if you sweat a lot at your workout I would drink afterwards

the more you sweat the more you're going to need to drink it back

the guys above gave you some good tips stick to maybe half a gallon to a gallon a day average

unless you're doing dry fasting you should be drinking lots of water every day as an athlete

water consumption can be overrated but at the same time it can be underrated

you can end up with heat exhaustion if you're not getting enough water if it's really hot and you're sweating

you keep yourself cool with cold showers as well that helps

Theres a lot of opinions out there, but the truth is it depends on your body size, how hard you train, and how much you sweat.

For most lifters, around 1 gallon (about 3.7 liters) a day is a solid goal. If you're training hard, sweating a lot, or in a hot place, you might need more. But drinking 2 gallons isn’t necessary for most people.

Personally, I aim for just under a gallon a day. I drink more if I’m doing a heavy workout or it’s hot outside. Best way to check if you’re getting enough is your urine — if it’s light yellow, you’re good. If it’s dark, drink more. Just don’t force water down nonstop. More isn’t always better.
