Whats up everyone....

As most of you know Ive recently gotten into the Gym. I work out 4 days and cardio 5. Im seeing good results and pleased with my progress. Ive been doing this for the last month. Now here is my question I want to go more. I cant get enough. I just started doing cardio twice a day but i want to lift more. Id like to go six days of lifting and 6 days of cardio twice a day. Is this too much??????????

On my days off Im sitting in front of the Tv and asking myself why the fuck are you sitting here when you could be at the gym. Please anyone help.

Thanks

If you are trying to build muscle mass, 2x/day cardio is going to hinder that progress.

1x per day cardio is plenty. especially if you are also lifting.

I was going to post the exact same question because I'm in the exact same boat. I will some days run for 1200 calories and I'm sure that I'm losing a little muscle, but the fat is just sliding off.

I'm so satisfied that I even ate fast food today for the first time in over 2 months!

Do you guys think it would be better to split this cardio up instead of doing it all at once?

BTW my knees take a freaking pounding. I can't bring myself to do anything else though cause it take 3-4 times as long to burn the same amount of cals.

double cardio sessions gets catabolic real quick. i would be careful with that. there is a whole cascade of effects that happen like increasing cortisol, slower recovery, and eventually overtraining/burnout. why not do cardio on your 3 non-training days? i would avoid the double cardio sessions though. theres too much of a good thing and that is it, unless youre getting ready for a show.

Thanks guys for the responses.......

Im at about 190lbs and about 22%bf I was going to try and get down to about 180-185 and get down to about 10-14% bf. Sorry i left it vague...... What do you guys think about the weights 5-6 days?????

If you are 22% BF and trying to get lower, I would take a good look at your diet. Pounding tons of cardio and weights will not get you the desired results without a good clean diet.

Im the same, my off days are spent infront of the computer or doing homework or shit like that and I always want to hit the gym, on gym days I have to concenrate on not thinking about goin in school cuz otherwise Im too excited and cant concentrate. It sucks dick I wish I could go 7 days a week lol

I like people like you with such strong motivation.

There are some concerns with overtraining, when you are exercising as much as you plan. However, if your program is structured appropriately, then you should be fine for the short term. Eventually you will need to rest and slow down a little.

If you feel like you should go to the gym, and want to go, then go. There is always something you can do to improve. And if you're got the motivation then go for it.

On a side note, if you haven't added flexibility training, to go along with your cardio, and weights you should do so. Stretching sucks, it's physically painful, time consuming, and results can be slow, but it is truly necessary if you want a healthy body.

A couple of things.

1. To the guy who said his knees are taking a pounding. Stop running so much and hop on the elliptical. Some studies show its a better workout, and it doesn't kill your knees. I'm not saying stop running. But switch it up every workout. You'll still see great results while keeping your knees in better shape.

2. 5 days a week is the maximum amount of days most of our bodies will be able to handle without the aid of steroids. 6 days lifting and 6 days of cardio twice a day is way too much. Your body will just wear out over time, and it may end up being counterproductive. Cardio 6 days a week may be fine, but once a day. With that much cardio you're better off lifting 3-4 days a week.

3. Where do you guys get so much time on your hands to lift 6 days a week, and do cardio 12 times during the week. I mean, taking into account preping, doing your lifting, doing your cardio, doing your cardio again, showering...I mean, that's got to be like 3-4 hours each day. I have to stay on top of things to get in my 4 workouts a week. Just curious.

One last thing.

I've seen great things about Omega's Lipoflame and Lipostim3 products. And I myself have taken the Amplify02. I think you might be best off just buying this stack, lifting with a good routine, and doing cardio 5 times a week, no more than once per day.

And eating a high protein, low carb diet. Clean it up.

No need to do that much to get the results you want.
