I AM JUST CURIOUS HOW MUCH (BALLPARK OF COURSE) IT WILL COST FOR A MOVING COMPANY TO MOVE ALL MY SHIT. I CAN NOT TAKE TIME OFF WORK BUT I MAY BE MOVING SOON. YOU KNOW, ONE OF THOSE FULL SERVICE DEALS WHERE THEY PACK UP ALL YOUR SHIT IN BOXES IN ABOUT 20 MIN, AND MOVE IT OUT.

THANKS.

It really depends on where you live and what sort of stuff (furniture or not) you have to move.

By me it would be $250-$450 for a one bedroom with furniture and boxes between neighboring towns.

Call a few companies up and see if they'll come over and give you a quote.

Weeeeeeeeeeeee - it took me nearly three hours to pack up my kitchen/laundry area.

Anyhooooooooooooooooooooo

good luck with the move.

SHIT IS THAT ALL? $450 IS NOTHING!! I MEAN, IT IS A LOT, BUT NOWHERE NEAR HOW MUCH I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.

Ah yup.

when it comes to lugging heavy furniture - just tell me who to write the check out to and for how much.

Um, I did all my own packing though - 25- 21 gallon rubbermaid containers. Oh the horror.

Come to think of it - I'm still not totally unpacked.

It's usually by pound...

even if it is a local move as you said. Listen to Velvett, I used to work for Atlas moving company before/during college (I hate pianos) and it really depends on what you have. If you go with a large professional company they are usually good at estimates and if they are off by x% they will give a discount accordingly. As Velvett said $500/bedroom is usually good.
