How Much Can Everybody Bench To The Max?

Hey this post came in at the perfect time...i just maxxed yesturday...i've been working out steady now for just about 9 months.....when i started 9 months ago, my max bench was about 80 lbs. I'm not kidding at all (pretty fricken pathetic)....just yesturday, i maxxed out at 200lbs even. WOO!!! talk about motivation!!:)
 
like 250 on a good day... the chest is one of the things i'm hitting hard with this cycle. want the strength and more protrusion of my pecs... Always had a flat chest growing up... Never even needed a training bra..boohoo all the other fat guys used to show theirs padded wonder bras off and I had none... har har har...
 
My best bench press in compititon (paused) is 535 at 228lbs on Jan 13th. I actually did 550 at a meet on Feb 11th and looking at the tape is was good, they said it changed directions. And my best gym bench press is 570 with a slight pause. My stats are on the WPA powerlifting website. Initials Jk in the 242 division in the Florida meets. look under contest results.
 
at 186 5,8 i did 325 1 rep perfect no bouce shit. That was before i fucked up my wrist im scared of what it will be when i get back.
 
haven't tried in awhile and till I can find someplace to workout it will be awhile till I get back into training

lifted 265 for 4 reps over a year ago but I don't think I'm that strong now :(
 
Weigh 175 (been dieting down for 6 weeks)

225 X 8 on a fairly steep incline last week...Have no clue about flat bench, but it should be a little easier. I'd guess 1RM would be somewhere around 325ish?
 
405 is the most I have done..right now I could do around 385...just did 295 for 2 sets of 10 the other day easy...

I got 280 for 5 yesterday but im mid cycle off cycle i do about 245 for 6. No idea what my max is Img guessing around 315.
 
weigh 175 and maxed at 285. Wait 'til I get some deca to go with this sust that I'm staring at, the Bossman is gonna blow up!!!!
 
maxed 430 on the flat. i am much more proud however of my close grip incline max of 365-hard exercise. i can also do the 140lbs bells for 4-6,Luke
 
Like KC, I too am a monster......150lbs for reps.

im only maxing at 135 but i dont go for strength,i may try to get it up but i dont think it is a priority,i close grio bench more then i regular bench,odd aint it
 
My best is 335 @ 185lbs, but right now I can probably go for 315 @ 185. I never max since my surgeries on the shoulders. I usually try to get 225 for reps and right now I'm at around 18-20 reps.
 
Have benched double bodyweight at 200(405), 215(435), and 225(455).

Wife can bench bodyweight 10 times and 140 for 2 at 115.
 
This is funny, reading how much you guys press. I think some of the people saying they bench 240 are the same ones that flamed my post surgery swollen physique. If you are one of those flamers with a 240 press then your a pussy bencher. If you have a 240 press but didn't flame me, please disregard this post. By the way, my best is 405 at 190.
 
yeah I still don't know why people bother dissing others pics. thats impressive for someone who weighs 190

I stopped lifting for strength a few years ago but it's cool to talk with those who do lift for strength as well
 
Whew, there are some big boys here. I've hit a whopping 385@ 6'1 230lbs. I don't even think that would qualify me in a womans senior division. Now if I just had a barrel chest and stumpy arms I'd rule:D Later, Galen
 
hey plifter, I never flamed ur pic, was just surprised u were full grown. And btw I am not one of those guys pushing 400+ on the bench, hell im pushin less then 300, but to say people under 240 are pussies is just stoopid. First off u are the defintion of the word, look up "pussy" in dictionary, and find ur pic. I have never dun gear yet, and most people who aint pushin over 3 prolly haven't either, or their just small. U could bench 2000 pounds, and I would still not think of u as a man. Obviously if u post up fat ass bruised up nasty pics, people will flame, look what happens when newbs post pics. The only reason anyone took ur side is because u have a few friends on here, and they felt bad. Dont diss the underdawgs, almost everyone on here had(has) a self esteem problem at one time and thats why they turned to BB'ing, so leave em alone !
 
315 off cycle going to try it after a couple weeks on anavar/winny.I am down at about 280 have been training high reps and have lost about 20lbsin body weight.

Damn Vision! You must really be a pussy to get that defensive about your bench. I wasn't posting those pics to show off some washboard abs, I was just letting people see what gyno surgery was like since that is something that everyone on this board worries about. It's really funny that skinny ass pansies like you can poke fun of a big guy. By the way, learn to spell.

plifter this sport is bodybuilding in case you were unaware. it's about how you look, not how much you bench. i will take my 240 benching physique any day of the week over your attempt at a decent physique. you are the perv posting pics of his cock on the sex board aren't you.

PLifter - another fact here is most are natural.
I believe that roids have a major effect in the developing of strength.
I bet most of these sub 300's are none user or first time user.
What has your usage been?

I'll take my 260 for sets and reps any day.
It makes up 1/5 of my total chest work out.

Little note: a great bench can never make up for any other short comings.
 
Hey Supersize, in case people can't tell by the name plifter, I am a POWERLIFTER not a bodybuilder. Strength is first, physique is secondary. What is the point of you guys flaming my physique when they know I'm not a BB. Plus, being cut doesn't matter unless you have a bit of mass. With a 240 press you couldn't possibly have much size.

I have more size than you.

What you have done is no different than what you cry people have done to you.

I would much rather be well rounded than have a great bench. In all my sport training we rarely put much priority to bench.

for a powerlifter to come to a bodybuilding site and flame people for not having a big bench is the same thing as a sprinter going to a triathlete site and flaming all the people there because they can't run a 10 second 100 meters.

not all of us are shooting for big numbers and big poundages, if you can put up big weight, that's a nice side effect of bodybuilding. but bottom line is that bodybuilding is about making the body an aesthetically pleasing thing to look at. LOOKING GOOD NEKKID.

not everyone can bench 300, if you can really put up 400 on bench that's great, you also have chosen to juice. don't knock me because i choose to put 93 octane in my system in the interest of engine longevity and you put in 105 octane to get the results you want.
 
Supersize, you must be new to this board or something. This board is more about JUICING than JUST PLAIN BODYBUILDING. I posted pics concerning gyno which is of interest to people who JUICE. There are a lot more posts about gear than "training". This board is for anyone that uses juice. Post your pics tough guy.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS SOME PEOPLE TOOK SOME CHEAP SHOTS AT ME AND I FIRED A SHOT BACK. THESE MORONS CAN DISH IT OUT BUT CAN'T TAKE IT.

Hey Cleaner, the surgery pics were on the anabolic board. I had another pic there too but someone moved it here. Get over it guys, it 's not that big of a deal. People don't like having someone insult something that they have worked hard for. I think a little bit of retaliation was certainly within my rights after reading all of the posts about my surgery pics that were taken the day after my operation.
 
WHEN I WAS 19 I DID 485 AT A BENCH COMP FOR MY COLLEGE MY TRAINERS WILL NOT LET ME MAX OUT ANYMORE BUT I REP 405 FOR 8 ON CHEST DAY FOR MY LAST SET. MAXXING OUT IS JUST TO MUCH FOR JOINTS AND A INJURY WAITING TO HAPPEN SO I DON'T DO IT ANYMORE.:)
