How many of you wake up in the middle of the night for a protein shake or food?

so that is why i was such a skinny little shit when i was 20-26!!!! eating all that....well....you know how it is when you got a steady girl and all....:FRlol:

Yeah, non calorie meat does not help your muscle building endeavors at all, but it does taste good. :p
 
Quick question. Just made a shake for 3am tomorrow morning. 25g casein, and 5g pysillium husk (whole husk). I notice that if I let the husk sit in water for a few hours, it absorbs a lot and gets really thick. With the protein and husk mixed together in water and sitting in the fridge for 6 hours, will the husk absorb any of the protein(since the protein is suspended in the water) and make it not digestible? Basically I'm a waisting protein by doing this?

you do not EVER want to mix pysillium husk fiber with anything if you are not going to drink it within moments. it will coagulate quickly and become a choking hazard, as well as undrinkable. protein waste is the least of your concerns here. mix the husk fiber in right before you drink it, or just leave it out. better to use whey, it will absorb quick and last for several hours, then you can hit yourself again the next morning with protein upon awakening. take a fiber/flax/casein drink BEFORE bed also, so as to make it last like 5 hours at least. do the before bed drink, the whey at night, and whey again in the morning. best regimen if you ask me.

Besides the choking hazard (I actualy like how it makes it thick), am I losing any protein by the pysillium husk soaking up protein?

casien is actualy a much better protein for a middle of the night drink....last much longer then whey

casein is good to take BEFORE bed to "bridge" to the middle of the night drink...at that point you are about 4 hours from waking up maybe 3 (at least me) so i want quick whey right in me when i wake up to take a piss, and last for 2-3 hours till i get up and hit myself with more protein. no need for long acting protein if your waking up in 4 hours if you ask me. but to each his own. :) if the protein is bound up in the fiber you shit it out, you would lose some protein i suppose. doubt it would be much though.
 
BTW: here is what i do if i already haven't mentioned it in this thread (its long and i don't want to read it again, lol):

pre-bed:
-metrx apm60 drink: 60 grams protein and minimal carbs/fat if any
1 tbsp flax oil

piss break at night:
-20 grams whey

awakening:
-non w/o day: 60 grams whey
-w/o day 20 grams whey and i scoop endurox (carb drink with a bit of protein)

Just an idea. everyone has different ideas. i HATE fiber, but know i should take it with my metrx drink. that is the only supp i slack off on constantly. oh well. :)
