For those who have jobs or work from 9-5, how to you go about eating when it comes to bulking up,
What kinda stuff do you have and when do you eat it?

I work 12hr rotating shifts at a major hospital. I pack 4 or 5 meals in a cooler and bring them to work with me. Whenever I get a few minutes downtime between patients, I eat something. I make a lot of easy things like sandwiches, salads with lots of egg whites, and I always have a protein shake or two with me. I get to work 2hrs early and work out at the hospital's gym, which is actually pretty decent, then shower and go to work. It does suck sometimes when we get a medivac flight in and we're slammed for 15hrs, but most of the time it works out alright. If you've got the will, you'll find a way.

lmao, why didn't I think of that, all they need is a little tlcLol 15 hour days?? 16's are a staple around here. Long days like that can make your head definitely spin. I work at least 2 a week. Almost every week. And I still train hard after those doubles. I find that if I beat myself up good before I hit the bed, I sleep better even though I'm only getting about 5 1/2-6 hours of sleep on those days. It helps having iron clad willpower. Sometimes I talk to my biceps and will them to grow. :/ lol.

Insane is a subjective term, don't you guys think it's insane to eat fast food? Not train?
I don't find it all that hard to do, yeah getting up @ 4:30 takes getting used to (especially in the winter) but I like cooking and 2-3 times a week grilling up a few days worth of chicken, veggies, eggs etc. is something I enjoy....

Working 8 hours a night sometimes with a 15 minute total break (can only eat so much in 10 minutes I've found out) then Uni during the day from 9-4 (break is walking from place to place), leaves little time for eating, let alone sleeping haha.
What's some decent food you guys can take without a cooler required? (brown rice with canned tuna) kinda stuff.
I take protein bars with me everywhere I go. A full box (12 I think?) gets eaten every 3 or 4 days. They are 30 grams each. Throw in a few 40-50 gram shakes and around 3 reasonable meals and you'll find yourself at 250ish grams of protein a day. I try to focus on quality carbs with my meals too. I don't worry about my fat consumption. I just eat what I like and tastes good.
You buy them I'm guessing? Decent quality protein bars here sell around 4-5+ bucks per bar haha.
anyone make homemade ones? And any ideas how to stop them being sticky?! This drives me crazy![]()
I get 12 packs of supreme protein 30gram bars for $34.50 at my gym. That's less then $3 each.
