best way to erase a hard drive is a 5lb magnet, unless u reformat about 10 times

Great threat!

"Robby was 34 years old, married with two children. He ordered some D-bol and Winny from an online source."

"Customs got the local police on board and wired a package for delivery with an AT-4 transmitter (an electronic signaling device used to confirm that a target has opened his package). Pre-raid surveillance was set up, the delivery was made, and Robby signed for the package."

"When Robby opened the package, he saw the little black device. Panicking, he took out the batteries and ran out to his car. He was stopped by the raid team, who took him back to the house and searched it -- seizing everything connected with bodybuilding including an Arnold Schwarzenegger book. They found 19 Sustanon preloads in his garbage."

"In custody, Robby waived his rights, admitted four previous Internet juice orders, and was even pressured into saying that 600 tablets is more than one person could use. [The deputy prosecuting attorney refused to plea bargain the case below a felony level...]"

Yes I like this idea. I am going to get a portable HD here soon so I can destroy it fast if i have to. I have a barrell outside with a 5gallons of gas near by. I get the slightest hind they are comming I throw my HD in the barrell and dump some gas on it and and use my elec ignitor I took off an old grill to start it up. Flames will shoot 20' in that air and the HD will be compleatly waxed.

Geeez!

I can't believe the amount of mis-information on this board!

O.K. from Canada here's some info:

First off, never mind your hard drive, if your on the internet, CARNIVORE (or similar programs) are what the DEA tracks your email and surfing with often enough. These are at you ISP anyway so they can track your email without your computer hard drive anyway. THAT'S how they got that guys emails!! Never mind the hidden .dat files and history files on your computer and all that other kiddie stuff.

Also as for wiping your hard drive, the only sure way is to get one of the LEO's programs themselves. In Canada the RCMP has a program that totally wipes hard drives. They use it when they dispose of thier OWN computers. A fellow in my office (a non-enforcement govt. department) borrowed the program to erase (really erase) his hard drive before surplusing it. The officer he got it from told him that it definately worked cause the RCMP couldn't even recover data after it was used (that's why they use it themselves). However, it is also a criminal offense to have possession of this program anyway (or so he was told). He had to return the program after use (on an "uncopyable"CD).

Unless your surfing through multiple proxy, the DEA can track your websites anyway (and they do from your ISP anyway) let alone your email. If your surfing www.sellingbaddrugs.com likely they will start monitoring your email after a few visits. Ahhh the wonders of a "free country"! Hello Mr. Orwell!

Want to find out alot of the "real" stuff? Hang around the pot-grower's forums (some are good, some suck). They have ALOT more to loose than guys selling steriods. They are treated much more harshly too by the courts. These guys are indeed on top of things as far as computers go and are quite willing to give out what they do know.

My 2cents.

How does this information relate to a situation where someone uses a public computer at a local library, as opposed to a home computer? Also, what about making transactions through a secure elitefitness.com or hushmail.com account? Can the DEA/FEDS still read that? I thought that EF mail was encrypted and not be able to be read while "traveling the internet" to it's destination. Is this security that's advertised with EF mail as true as it's advertised, or is it suspectible to the DEA reading it? This is extremely important, and we need answers. So all of you super-techno computer bros need to help us other bros out, PLEASE!!

To cause them harm or death is quite right when they are doing their job. Even the thought of it is pretty distasteful, anyone dying over AS. Police officers dying for your right to get big is a bunch of crap. Also, use your head. If you don't think that type of talk will get you targeted by the law you need to think again. Think before you post. Not flaming you, just some advice.

Are you sure your username is ArizonaFeeds? I think it should be ArizonaFEDS!!!!!!!

Yup defragmenting ur pc will do absolutely nothing for u.

Defragmenting is used to organize ur hard drive again after u have been using it for a while and now theres little pieces of programs seperated on ur hard drive..
It gets them all together again and makes ur pc run a little faster and better..

Now the best thing i could think about doing in a situation like urs is to get the windows cd and re install it making ur pc blank like when u first bought it..

What also could have happened was that maybe they seen the stuff u wrote and copied it and saved it.. Or they jsut looked for it on ur pc since u didnt reformat ur hard drive and found everything there.......

I wouldnt take any chances with that shyt, i would have opened my pc and yanked the old hard drive out and put a new one in.
Thats the best thing to do i think....
