somehow i managed to bench 260lbsx1 today prepping for my new compound lift routine and i don't see how because i have been training with light weights doing 10 second reps 4.0.6 and the rep scheme being 4x12. so it would be like only 60 lbs on the bar starting then i would drop weight each time. also like 4 months ago i was struggling to get up 195x5 (on a 5x5 routine, that set being the last one).maybe i just broke through a mental block.

keep pushin man im at 375 somehow cant get to 400x1 almost there

Bro, there's a big difference between 375 and 400! 375 is awesome and you'll get 400 some day but don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen right away. Sometimes if you sneak up on a new PR using little plates, it easier psychologically than looking at a bunch of 45's.

You're kickin ass! Keep it up!

feels good getting a few plats on the bar dont it... :)

Keep it up !!! Next itll be 3 plates on each side ! I remember when I hit three plates, I accomplished that goal, now its four plates (405) !!! Its gonna take some more time but Ill prolly get there this winter !

Thanks for the compliments guys, it makes me wanna smash the weights even harder!

and you guys are friggen monsters to be pushing up over 350 never mind repping it. cheers to you as well

Yeh man very good job! You prolly broke through a mental block and changed other things as well. Have you changed your diet or anything or changed the intensity you train with or do you get more sleep?

I know for me i started getting more serious and i got on a wayy better diet and stopped eating crap for breakfast/lunch/dinner and i started getting more sleep. I started reppin 90lb dumbells for a seated military press when 3 months ago i couldnt get past 65 without getting burned out or anything.

Keep smashing the weights bro and taking care of your body :) i cant wait till i get hella strong!

Awesome work SK. Maybe you are getting more rest and switching programs is letting you recover a little better, etc?

I think sticking with what you are doing for now is the way to go and make adjustments when things plateau. You weigh 215? You shouldn't have any problems getting into the 300's at that weight currently.
