Who's removing it from the box?
The minute you touch it you possesed it.
That argument is so wrong and old it's pitiful-outdated.

Not to be a wise-ass but, how can you "refuse" it if you don't remove it from the box first, look at it and then decide to refuse it? Correct me if I'm wrong but the postal employee has no reason to actually "return to sender" unless you actually indicate that this is what you'd like to do with it.

USPS Inspectors CAN open a first class package with the verbal consent of either the shipper or the addressee.

Also, they can obtain a warrant for the opening of a package.

right, they NEED to obtain a warrant....and you know they wont obtain any consent. THEY NEED A WARANT TO OPEN YOUR PACKAGE.

My point is, there are more than one circumstance where they can open your package.

It can lawfully be opened with the consent of the shipper, addressee or warrant.

sure, but you're talking about a specific topic where neither the consent of the shipper of addressee will be available, no one in their right mind would allow someone to open an AS pack and the addresse is 99.99% is a fake address. So there you go, WARRANT only.

THERE IS NO CONFUSION!!! IT IS A FEDERAL OFFENSE FOR ANYONE TO OPEN MAIL TO YOUR NAME WITHOUT A WARRANT

I think you're looking at this the wrong, way, for you don't understand the situation people are asking questions about. They are getting AAS in the mail, not flowers and candy. 1) return address is bogus (no shipper) 2) the person getting the package would NEVER in their right mind consent to them opening it - if he does he deserves to be caught. People here aren't idiots.

Thus, the only true way for them to get to you is via a warrant. That's the point. I keep explaining this but you keep brining in irrelavant topics.

I'm done with this...I think people will now understand to keep your mouth shut and you know that USPS needs a warrant to open your mail. (of course, unless you're a moron and open it for them)

It looks like Mr.X has already beat me to this one (again ) and like he said no shipper is using a real return addy anyway (so getting consent from the shipper is OUT), and I am not dumb enough to consent to letting anyone open my mail, under ANY circumstance...
So it would take a Warrant to open my Domestic mail

And as I alredy stated they CAN open it with a warrant (I will assume you missed that part of my last post...)
