My best friend is an HIV+/AIDS from several years and went to a severe wasting state 3years ago, even he was 140pounds and that's was awful as well
The doctor gave him Testosterone 600mg/week with 600mg/week of Nandrolone(Deca-durabolin) for 10weeks then 6weeks off then starts again with 200mg Test and 200mg Deca for 10weeks and then rest for 6weeks then restart again with 600mg & 600mg/week and so on
and recommended this supplements as well
1. Complete multi-vitamin - 25 to 50 mg B-complex, including vitamin B6, with each meal. Most people report that a total of about 200 mg of B6 per day is best. I also suggest that total daily doses of folic acid should be 1000 mcg, and vitamin B12 should be 1000 mcg to reduce homocysteine for the health of the cardiovascular system.
2. Complete multi-mineral - the daily total equals 1000 mg calcium, 600 mg magnesium, 200 mcg selenium, 200 mcg chromium, 30 mg zinc, with all the other minerals.
3. Antioxidants - 1,000 to 2,000 mg of vitamin C with 400 IU of vitamin E per meal.
and this supplements on cycles, 8 weeks on 4weeks off
1. N-acetyl cysteine - 500 mg per meal.
2. Carnitine - 200 mg per meal.
3. Glutamine powder - Glutamine works best when taken in 3 to 5 divided doses per day. 12 grams per day for maintainence.
4. EPA fish oil capsules - 1 to 2 capsules per meal.
5. Alpha lipoic acid - 100 mg per meal.
as for nutrition, check out my last post on meal plans

I'm mentioning dosens of meal plans and recipes, just let him use it
as for Training/workout
Train 4days/week at 60minutes/day
the training would be like the following
Day 1- Chest-Triceps
Day 2- Back-Biceps
Day 3- Rest
Day 4- Shoulders
Day 5- Legs
Day 6- Rest
Day 7- Rest or repeat
Each set should be done very controlled with a super slow motion, 10rep for each set, 15sets for large bodyparts and 9sets of small bodyparts
also let him drink plenty of water, and of course consuming at least 6meals/day
Good luck

My brother is HIV positive from a transfusion over six years ago. He is wasting away to nothing. I suggested he inquire about AS but the doctors he sees hardly speak any english let alone know jack about AS. Can someone tell me what specific ones he should inquire about. He can't change doctors as he is on some kinda free care gig. As far as I'm concerned, he is getting what he is paying for which is nothing. Thanks in advance. He has gone from about 180 lbs. to about 135 and I feel if he had some meat on him he might put up a better fight.
