I just found out one of them was a professional football player. He is part owner of the minor league team in the town. The other was a Gold Gloves boxer. The son is just an idiot.
I guess the cops turned them away. Told them they were wasted and that they know we run a clean operation at that bar.
I am a little pissed still as I am off the schedule for a few weeks to "let thing cool down"
I am meeting with my attorney on Monday on an unrelated note. I may press charges against the three. My primary career would have been over if I made the paper for assault. I would like to give these guys a taste of their own medicine.
Its one thing for them to be embarrassed that I wouldn't take their shit. Its another that I wouldn't back down. Its another that they couldn't take me down when there was three of them and one of me.
It would be a big deal in the community for me to expose them as raging alcoholics and have them convicted of assault, battery and criminal threatening.
It should get more intersting as time passes.

How do you know he was filing a police report?
Were you contacted or questioned by the police?
Is this something he threatened to do?
Someone told you he did?

I'm not sure how to make this clear so I'll be blunt.

GET YOUR ASS TO THE POLICE STATION AND FILE A REPORT RIGHT NOW.
GET YOUR ASS OFF THE COMPUTER AND DO IT NOW.

You should have done this the second you had the chance.

file the report. get the tapes. pressure the police to get off their arses and interview witnesses (theyre lazy pricks if you let them be. getting in touch with the sargeant and getting a concrete timeframe from him speeds things up remarkably) then file against them 100%.

being a nice guy in legal situations like this inevitably leads to you getting another assault from behind (heehee i laughed at least as much as sublime ). simply put: if you do not take this 100% seriously from the beginning, the court will assume that your "niceness" "tardiness" or whatever was a result of the incident not being very serious, and you will not get a good outcome.

the more traumatised/indignant you act, the more the legal system will align with you.
