hmmm.. first off,,,,congradulations on your recent life changing experience of becoming a doctor,,as for returning to a bodybuilding lifestyle with hep B,,,slowly incorporate physical activity as liver enzymes/jaundice return to normal and you start to feel better...yes to a low protein diet for now..you will need to be monitored for bloodwork CBC w/diff & hepatic panel,,it will let you know if your condition becomes chronic where pharmacological management may be needed. If you are currently practicing medicine notify your facility of your condition(they probably know something is going on from the color of your sclera and yellow skin)....It is nice to see you are not afraid to ask when you are unsure of something,,keep that in mind when you are orienting to a unit/floor/facility ...never be afraid to ask your preceptor or the one training you a question,,confidence will come in time,,no one comes out of medical education graduating as a MD or nurse an expert...Am i a doctor....No....do i work in healthcare..Yes

you are in for a few months of this,,be smart, do a little reading on the subject..Hep B is not a black and white subject like prescribing IVPB metronidazole after bowel surgery..best of luck

Not even dealing with metron post bowel surgery is cut and dry.....after you stop the metron, you have to worry about Clostridium difficile over colonizing and causing pseudomembranous colitis, which could kill that ass.
Probiotics are great post anti-b therapy for this reason, you want the good bacteria to colonize, not C diff.

I do agree with some of the other guys, if you just got through medschool, you should know about eating protein with a fucked off liver....i mean your ALT is in the thousands when it should hover around 45, and you are worried about when you can slam protein and juice? You overall health and your liver are more important than looking good bro, really. Im not even in medschool yet.....these are things that premed students should know, actually its common sense, livertransplant lists are long, so worry about yours and not getting swole. Basic patho would tell you not to high protein with liver disease (best to cut it out totally for now).

In my opinion, I would say stay away from juice for now, for awhile.
