having problems with creatine

i have taken creatine twice and both times i dont get much resluts except like 2 lb gain and not much size notice. i dont know what is going on. right now i take it post workout with 25 g of whey protein, 5 g glutamine, 1 cup milk and 1 yogurt for the carbs. any thoughts?
 
yeah . you probably just take the creatine on its own . Creatine needs an insulin spike to get into the muscle - preferably after a workout - when your body will be unusually good at sucking up creatine. Take with grape juice, or even better, dextrose (100 GI).

Also, your post workout meal should be something like
whey (25g P) dextrose (90g carbs). yoghurt has what, 8g carbs? Not enough to refill your muscle glycogen and produce an insulin spike
Search for the importance of post workout meals considering we all lift weights.
 
the first time i took it i took cell tech for about 6 weeks, the first week loading stage which was 20 g a day, thena maintenece of 10 g for 5 more weeks. now that i have started it again about 2 months since i used cell tech, i just use prolab creatine monohydrate and have loaded the first week, 20g a day, and now take 5 g a day. and also yogurt has like 40g of carbs in them
 
creatine is a suplement. Don't expect magic. YOU MUST EAT RIGHT! You will get better results just by doing this.
 
Chuck48 is right of course about the diet thing. But I'll assume that your diet is good.

Only thing I could suggest is to keep going on it for 8 weeks instead of 6. That might make a difference. If not, I know that there are those for whom creatine just doesn't work, and you might be one of them. It's like any other supp, it won't work for everyone.
 
H20 H20 make sure your drinking lots of water. At least a gallon a day. :spit:

My last creatine 'cycle' sucked cus I didn't eat enough to overcome a physically demanding job. . . but my first stint w/creatine worked beyond my imagination since at that time i was able to FOCUS a lot of my time to eating right, training etc.
 
With all the problems aside, it has been proven that creatine only works for 90% - considering you have done everything right, you are in the unlucky 10% :( !
