it's one emotion I don't like to feel and it's VERY rare when I hate another person.
BUT, there is this one neighbor (tenant) who I believe is the devil. I swear it.
She lives upstairs from me and from the day she moved in, her horns came out.
When I rented to her, she was a sweet old lady. Until she moved it!
I used to get home from work and open my back door to let my cats out and then go in my bed to nap. When I nap, I'm in bra and panties.
This PSYCHO NUT used to walk into my house by the back door and come into my room while I slept. She would knock on something so I would hear. I would wake up shocked and she would have a plate of food in her hands saying "I cooked for you" ughhhhhhhhhhh and it was all dead cow. She knew I never ate beef.

she also used to run her vaccum at 4 am.
Do her laundry at 2 am
Shovels her back balcony at 5 am

One xmas, her first year here, I made her a beautiful gift basket. For the xmas holiday I had 10 days off to rest and for the first 5 days she woke me up every morning at 5 am with her vaccum or washing machine or some form of banging etc.
I rang her bell and was sweet as pie asking her to please keep it down since I am on holiday.
She was so angry that the next day the gift basket I made her was in 15 pcs, thrown into a garbage bag and she tied it to my door.

This is just the TIP of what's gone on in 4 yrs. She is a true nutcase!

I took her to the rental board bc she refuses every rent increase etc.
As I am typing this, she just slammed her front door. She's mad today cause I asked her to pick up clothes pins that fall in my yard (yes she hangs laundry out about 5 times a day even in the winter).
He pins have put about 10 rust stains in my pool

Yes I want her to leave and told her many times I will let her out of her lease. It's tough to evict unless you have a lot of proof. I want her gone. I'm actually worried I will hurt her!

she signs a yearly lease and only she can break the lease unless I have a family member move in or take over the dwelling myself.
So basically until the bitch decides to move.

My Mom almost went at her one day.
She also pushed my Dad once too.

She knows when Marc is here and NEVER makes a peep. When she sees him outside she is like a honey bee. So sweet. Then Marc will say "Oh she is so nice" arghhhhhhhh!

Hmmm.

The only way to do it is have a police report made every time she is "acting out" - it's a pain in the ass but you need some sort of paper trail to get her out.

maybe having a picnic with the bf, going for a bike ride , running along the ocean...basically think herpes commercial.

The cops don't show up here for that.
They law states someone can make noise at a reasonable hr. And now she does.
It's the clothes pins, the banging of the door etc. All the little things I know she does to get to me.

I once told her it was in her lease to shovel the snow, she got so mad, she shoveled and put all the snow in front of my door.

By the way, she's not a weak old woman. She worked up until a yr ago. Ridesher bike everywhere and is strong like a bull.
She's French, so that may explain it!

The only way to get rid of her is to be mean like her and make her life hell.
But I have too much class to play her game.

Anyway, I am raising her rent again another 20$ a month. Taxes went up and everyone gets the notice. I PRAY she leaves b/c of that

Oh and last summer she has the NERVE to come outside and ask Marc if her grandson can use MY pool!!!!!!!!
yeah let him come, I'll teach him how to swim.....haha

Seriously, I feel agressive with this lady.

Could you just say you were going to take over the apt, get her out and just bring some furniture there and make it look lived in and in a few months then get a new tenant?

Oh that, she pushed him the day she came to see the apt. She wasn't even a tenant yet.

the former tenant was not here to show her the house, so she was angry. When I invited her into my place for tea so she could wait, she walking in and pushed my Dad out of the way.
Nasty witch!


I could do that, but then I would have to pay the morgage on the lost rent for 6 months. She can check rental records and sue me if I rent to someone else.
The law in my province gives all the rights to the tenants. The landlords get shit on.
Now I was thinking, maybe pushing down the stairs ;-)

Blue, you seem to have some seedy people living around you, between your pot dealer neighbors and this crap, it sounds like the 'hood. Can't you file some kind of report for this woman walking into your house while you're sleeping? Or does she just rent a room and there are common areas?

No, I am far from a slum lord. We've spent over 100 grand in renovations (new windows, roof etc) over the last 5 yrs.
these places (including the others we own on this street) are really nice. We've had the same tenants for over 20 yrs.

Her walking into my house happened over 4 yrs ago.
And no she lives in her own dwelling.
No, the only seedy neigbor is the drugs dealers. The rest of the people on my street are cool. I mean you have a perv here and there, but it's the city you know.

It's the law in Quebec, we have sep. provicial laws. It's very hard to evict tenants. And I agree, it's a weird law
