Hate that I feel this way.....

I thought you grew up in MTL not Toronto?

Either way my thought on all this is why spend your time thoughts and energy on something so negative? Hate racism etc has been around for thousands of years although things have progressed it will be around in another thousand years. So why waste your time thinking about it?

D, Montreal has been multi cultural a lot longer than TO. Remember, we were the the biggest city in Canada before all the Montrealers moved down the 401. You only know TO since the influx, you didn't know TO before since you're under 30.

My thread was not created in the hopes of "curing" or combating" racism. Nor am I wasting my time thinking about it. It's a real issue that we're all facing.
My mind expands to more than weights, make-up and mundane daily life.
I'm a thinker and a doer. I write article that get published in the Montreal Gazette because I try to find solutions......working on solutions is not a waste of my time.

What you are experiencing is known as Cognative Dissonance.

Cognative Dissonance occurs when reality runs into theory. Mulitcultural Social theory basically states all cultures are equal, every person and group of people are equal and that only white/western europeans (and their decendants in North and South America and Africa) are capable of rasism. BUT your own eyes and experiences are telling you something completely different and contrary to what you have been taught.

This dissonance manifests itself in your mind and body by creating stress (distress). You are stressed out that your experiences are different than what you were taught. (I hate that I feel this way...)

I have to congratulate you because this stress you are feeling means you are waking up to the lies of Multicultural social theory. All I can suggest is for you to continue to question accepted social dogma, use your feelings of stress to fight political correctness (which helps to prevent you from thinking critically) and never apologize for feeling this way.

To help you continue your journey to awareness, I recommend you read this:

There are many levels of this that have deep roots. I believe it's not only a culture difference that makes you feel uneasy, but a natural self-preservation instinct.

The U.S. has set up a system that gives away so much to foreigners that they are flocking to this country to collect. Our liberal minded peeps don't understand that an economy can't support this for ever and will ultimately ruin itself. History repeats itself.

If you want a good example of what happens when you don't control immigration, ask the Native Americans.

The Canadian govn't has done the same. Many immigrants come to Canada and have full health care and welfare w/in 3 months.
I've been paying taxes for over 25 yrs and they come in and have the same wait time as I to see a Dr.
My friend that I was talking about in this thread told me that when they were planning on whether to come to Canada or the US, everyone told them Canada b/c they give you everything for free. She's right!

Self preservation is a good way to put it......
