Has HIV improved your way of life?

I don't have anything against your lifestyle, but i don't see how you can say having HIV has improved your life. One day it will be the death of you.I'm glad you are still living with it everyday and have a postive out look about it.Karma to you bro.

Not necessarily. A lot of people with terminal diseases such as cancer and HIV still live great lives, and many times it is exactly these diseases that push them to take advantage of all the great things life has to offer. And if you hang in there just long enough, they might just come up with a cure.

Medicine is making great strides everyday. So, a cure can be had if we research hard enough. It is ALREADY at the point where it is no longer a death sentence, with normal life expectencies for those fortunate enough to obtain medicines.

I understand what you are saying. One day I will die of something, just as you too will die of something. Exactly what it will be, no one knows, except for the Boss man upstairs. If a person takes what has been givien to them and and runs with it, rather then laying down. They will always be ahead of the pack. I will not allow this inflection to interfer with my life. It's my life and I still have a zillon things to see and do. I have just pasted my 14th year living with HIV. I have not had any infections in over 7 years. So, I must be doing something right. I like to believe that it's not just the medication, but the greater part of my life is from my outlook towards the future.

Keep on believing it's not just from the medication, because you're correct. When people have a negative outlook on things, it drags them down. It leads them to destruction, one way or another. Your positive outlook, coupled with medications and a healthy lifestyle are what's driving you forward for all this time. It's incredible that you can go at this disease which people fear like the plague with so much gusto. It's inspiring, to say the least.

Ignorant people also need to learn to shut their mouthes, especially when it doesn't concern them at all.

Something that I never really understood was how people are afraid of dying. I'm aware that I'm going to die some day, regardless of the cause. It's inevitable, so I'd never try and flee. I'd rather face it head-on. When you think about it, though, people are afraid of what they don't know. The unknown scares people. Why, then, aren't people afraid of life? I already know I'm going to die. I have no idea what's going to happen tomorrow, though.

Oh, and I'm not infected, and I'm straight, but I can still say I support you in your fight 100%.

Got to agree with you there. We will for sure die of something one day. I'm glad you are accepting the cards that are dealt to you and making the best out of it. Keep on keeping on.
