I think I might need to go on that show "What Not To Wear" for a total makeover. Or maybe just Extreme Makeover.

Anyway, since I am getting ready to begin networking for a new career, a career that could involve outside client contact, etc I think I need to make sure my personal image reflects the goals I have professionally. So, I'm looking into what services are out there and what they cost.

Is anyone familiar with such a thing? Shrimp?

I was in Marketing at Ford for my last assignment and we spent a lot of time understanding image. I also did executive level and entry level recruiting. So I have a lot of knowledge about the messages that are projected by how a person looks.

There are companies that sell this info and will coach you. Unfortunately they are dominated by fashion and we considered them a joke. We did not want dandies or prada ... we wanted a trust and competence message.

You can't go wrong with Malloy:

LMFAO. Right. And by right, I mean you're out of your fucking mind. You still havent figured out how to get that stupid look off your face when you take photos. Unless that's one of those old pics.

you must've had a really bad day - I'm glad that I could be here for your therapy.

I'm at a company where we meet with high level corporate executives from fortune 500 companies. Usually, every hire that we make, the first question that our president asks is if he/she is good looking. If not you're not getting hired or moving to the next interview step. Unless you're an engineer and even then they still want u to look good because they tag along to some of more important meetings where there are complex discussions that is beyond reps knowledge.

"Understanding image", is that how they came up with the Lady Schick motif for the grille of all the US Ford sedans?
