Well I finally had it done and let me tell all of you that this is absolutely amazing. I can see better now, one week post op than I could before with glasses. I know that some of you have been debating on having this done, especially you Guards, but let me tell you that if I'd have known it worked this well, I would have had it done a long time ago.

my eyes are too sensitive to wear contacts and i was thinking one day of getting laser eye treatment. i have been wearing glasses since like 11 years old and every other person in my family wears them. what was the procedure like. do u just sit still with your eyes open for ages. how long does it take it. also does it work for short and long vision. what im most worried abot is 10 years down the line i become blind or something.

No, unfortunately insurance does not cover it. The total time for the surgery was about 8-10 min per eye, from start to finish. They say the younger the patient the better, and did tell me that I would probably still need reading glasses when I hit my mid 40s.

I've heard a lot of contreversy on the long term effectiveness of eye surgery ie. eye sight gradually worsening again. has anyone heard of this or any other negative stories or side effects as I am very interested in having this done as well.
