Okay a while back like 3 years ago I got hooked on the show cheaters... man I thought it was just hilarious how the announcer dude with the glasses was so conniving in acting like this kind voice of reason while exploiting the poor mo's who were having game ran on them... poor saps, I'm not sure if the show is still on, but yup that was my guilty pleasure... now it seem like its taking time off of training... I've taken the last two weeks off and noticing how my shit is getting soft. Starting back up monday...
Would love to hear your guilty pleasures to pass this relaxing saturday afternoon...
 
Cheaters is sad. I remember seeing one where the couple had three children and the wife was banging a cop. WTF. Imagine being that child and seeing that re-run when you grow up and know what the hell is going on.

People have no dignity anymore.

Old school PE is a guilty pleasure for me. Just like 90s U2 (when they went electronic).

Okay, how about home finance shows (ie Maxed Out)? I love them because they scare me to prevent my debt getting too high.

I'm unsure about kids... I have no desire to replicate... but things change...
I just don't see a good reason, makes no sense right now since 7/10 fail anyway...

don't get married with kids if you want your life to stay even REMOTELY the same...some days are great...some days are bad, I'm not sure which I have more of...

guilty pleasures- omg... dove chocolate. american idol. Intervention (tv show). getting a pedicure. cappuchinos on sunday mornings. reading in the tub. sauteed onion over a really good grilled steak.

That is the exact same advice all my friends say...
I mean I dig my time alone... alot... when you got a family you can't just go into solitude mode... so, yeah thats great advice and is definitely on the back burner... another decade... thats a good time to really know myself... I know that sounds completely narcissistic, because in truth it is a little, but I dig my life and want it to remain this way for awhile.

It's not narcissistic. It's pragmatic. Why bring in a child or get married when it's not time?

I decided to get married / kids young because then I could still enjoy my life when my kids leave the house for college or something. The part that I didn't factor on is how my life would change with two kids and a wife early on in my life while I was trying to expand my career. There were alot of troubling times when they were younger and I worked the midnight hours to move ahead.

One of many reasons that as I get older I am more and more sure I will just adopt.

Intervention is pretty good too, appeals to my "we can fix everybody" side, and then my feelings are hurt after they do so much for these people and at the end of the show, it says they were kicked outta rehab and are on the streets again....

I know this sounds funny... but I'm funny like that, hopefully not like a clown, I think you would be a great mother... though I see you as a disciplinarian, which is a good thing, especially today, kids growing up being subjected to the information that a 30 year old should process, kids today grow up in such different conditions, their consciousness is bombarded with advertising in a manner that fucks with their development grossly... I mean they lose that little tiny space that used to be their own... a quiet place, but now that narrative voice trying to sell something has pretty much filled up their domes with all kinds of gimmickry... but yeah, I think you have just the right voice to be an excellent mom. Have fun shark hunting nef :)

I actually think I'd be a great mom one day down the road...I have that capacity for love, patience, and sacrifice. I just don't think I can handle the chemical fuck up of being pregnant and actually giving birth.

I forgot my biggest one I am a nicorrette fiend, never smoked... I just think chewable nicotine is the shit... chills me out... nothing beats coffee and nicorrette...

I set up a trap in my office. sticky fingers helped himself to some cashews on my desk one night after I left. I got pissed and told him all about boundaries and how to not cross them.

You are so doing him a favor by giving him that speech, I mean thats all you can do, he still won't learn, till something traumatic happens... or maybe he will, what the hell do I know, I'm still posting up when I should be packing, but man I hate giving authority type speeches, or speeches that have to do with criticism even when they are only benefitting that person... but man, he just doesn't understand the burden all that shit puts on you... to have to have that shit in your dome while at work in addition to work stress... good for you... I don't have any stressful co workers, you would love it, no loud talkers, no sticky fingered people, the only thing that bugs me is flirtatious manager who knows i"m str8, and that I can handle.

well the physiology is it activates your nicotinic receptors and some dopamine elevation... the subjective experience is just a little feeling of chill... however, I know I'm addicted... I have mild levels of anxiety, but nothing major, it provides a little relief from that... plus I have associated nicorrette as my writing gum... I'm always chewing while doing research and even chewing while I post... like I'm gonna have satori, swift kick of enlightening revelation, but yeah, that doesn't happen, though I wish it did... hits me in the wallet though, like costs me 50 a month...
but yeah I've smoked casually before in my 20s, but now I hate smoking, and cigarettes, worst thing you can do... but thats for another thread...
nicotine intravenously is more addictive than heroin and cocaine...
so yeah I only started cause a colleague was quitting smoking and I bummed a piece from her... a year and a half later i'm chewing 4 pieces together, like a fat 8 year old watching pokemon.

Learned that in our COPD/Chest pain symposium the other day.....10^17......that's like........a lot......

you know the word free radical just sounds good, like a revolutionary figure or something... you would never think its a highly reactive molecule responsible for so much disruption in our system... but yeah aside from that, that is crazy... I think heroin is healthier than smoking... well maybe not...
