Google Chrome Is HOT-Fast.

Guys,

If you don't already have Google Chrome on your PC, I suggest you install it. The forums are blazing fast on it and it is compatible with everything.

I have 5 different brosers in my PC right now and I tell you Google Chrome is my default right now.

Badass!

Does it work on shopping carts and with Java and Javascript stuff?

How is its bookmark management? Do you have to go through a bunch of levels of trees to find anything?

I was having problems with IE and finally gave up and started using Mozilla daily, but hate its bookmarks. Also IE had better implementation of tabs.

Mozilla has gone down hill for me lately. I don't know why but it keeps freezing and shutting down since the last upgrade.

It works just fine here, or about as well as it can anyway. I just think it's a so-so browser. But I'm having a mystery problem with IE on my home computer, sometimes it just won't make any more new connections. Like say I'm browsing on EF, and a message has a hotlink to another site. If the hotlink opens a new tab, the new tab will open but the new page never loads, the progress bar goes to two green dots then it just stops. It never times out or 404s, it just stops trying. But the original tab/window will still browse anywhere. When it gets in that mode, if I close IE and restart it sometimes it comes back to full function, sometimes not. I can't tell if it's a firewall problem, a TCP/IP problem, file corruption, or what. But it doesn't affect other browsers. Sometimes I can have two instances of IE open and one behaves normally and the other acts as described above. Anyway, I finally just gave up on IE on that machine, even though I prefer its navigation and bookmark functions, and set Mozilla as the default.

IE still works normally on my laptop, which I'm using right now since I'm at work. I'll go grab Chrome and try it on this machine first before putting it on the home box.

I like Opera okay, especially how small and fast it is, but it's not always good with Java or Javascript stuff, and some shopping carts don't work.

Okay I'm posting this from Chrome on my lappy, so far so good. I'd say tabs are as good as IE's, only thing I miss is the button to open a Bookmark item in a new tab, without right-clicking.

When it has all the plugins that Mozilla has and it's still just as fast then I'll be excited about it.

You are right. I don't know why most people only use one browser. I have several browsers on my PC and use them all depending on what I'm doing.

So far Google Chrome is perfect for surfing the forums fast, it is slim and quick, just works much nicer than any other browser I use. It moves through threads very quickly! and the tabs are awesome to use. If I need to watch media, handle e-mail or use my CC online I use IE or Mozilla. Opera for Torrets.

I'd rather not have to sync bookmarks between 2-3 browsers, be surfing in one browser then realize I want to buy something so I better open the other browser and yada yada yada. I have them all installed at work; the only time I use two is when I want to stream video in a separate window but I'm worried it might freeze and take all my tabs down.

I said the same thing about it being faster and everyone was like "What, .000324 seconds faster?" or something.

Same issue here and its been annoying as fuck. Personal and work computer.

I assume Google Chrome isn't open source?

I'm getting tired as fuck of mozilla shitting out on me after the last upgrade. I've even lowered myself to using IE, the HORROR!

So far Chrome has failed to piss me off in any significant way.

Chrome won't let me view my php files offline, unless I turn on wamp or lamp, and store the file in the appropriate directory....Firefox lets me view it regardless. IE is well...IE...

Small gripe I know, but otherwise I like it a lot. Supports CSS2 and 3 better than some other browsers I won't mention here.....heh.

This is not at all as complicated as it sounds. Even then you still admit to using more than one browser.

Right now I'm only using Chrome to surf the forums since it is hella fast, for everythign else there is IE8 and Mozilla.

1. Chrome isn't available for Linux
2. A stripped down browser thats 0.0034 seconds faster at loading pages isn't much of a selling point.
3. As I said I only use a second browser for a separate streaming video window or if I'm doing web development, in which case I don't need to manage bookmarks.

My firefox is fast enough, I need a better reason to dl chrome. Wave may do it in the future tho.

I'm on an old lappy running Chrome + Windows 7 Ultimate. Net is fast rocking bawlls right now.

BRR, I'm glad it's working out for U, but I dunno, it sounds complicated. Waiting on Mac Development, but damn, DT makes it sound tedious.
Is the google Android out yet?
