Good abs workout..

Abs bore the hell out of me. I'm looking to switch it up mid-cycle.

Anyone have a good comprehensive ab workout? Also post how many times/week you do it

Any form of weighted crunches, twists, and leg lifts.
Most important factor is cardio everyday. You gotta lose that fat covering up your abs. They are already there.

Yes they are there, diet and cardio will make em appear.

Do you guys follow any kind fo strict abs workout? Or is it kind of just work them in at the end of a workout attitude. I'm half and half - sometimes I try to get even sets/lifts in, others I just work them til I feel tired.

post in workout/bb forum please unless there is a direct relation to AAS topics.

What I don't get about that thing is, it raises your legs for you as you pull up -- removing the lower abs from the equation, thus defeating its own purpose.

I hear what your saying it sort of forces the motion as long as your back is straight it still hits everything...i havent used the ab lounge, this works for me so i never changed it...

full situps
do as many as you can, works the hell outta my abs like no other exercise, weighted or not

If you are bored and need a change try these out. Front Squats supersetted with hanging knees to elbows. Weighted Chins with db between your feet supersetted with overhead squats. Throw in some high cable wood choppers and you will have one strong and functional core.

What he said, plus oly lifts, dips, and 20 rep squats and THAT is a complete workout!

just take in less carbs, get on a decline bench and do like 3 sets of 30 reps of either full situps or crunches.. ive heard, full situps are good at first, then its the crunches that work the hell outta ur abs, especially if you make no movement in your calves when going up..

for some reason fullys always leave me hurting
i was trying to get the army pt score of 100...which is like 77 situps i think.
left me crushed and still does

my friend told me that full situps off a decline are actually the worst, not only do they put uneccesary stress on your spine and back, but its almost like cheating just because when you come up your calves are doing a portion of the work, so you can just throw 21's or 27's into your ab workout, like 6 crunches, 1 situp, etc.. and then just add weight if that becomes easy for you, but the crunches actually work better for me..
