going to my first nascar race tonight; anyone ever been?

i love nascar. . .actually. . .i love "racing" period. . .i'm a red neck i s'pose. . .the best nascar event to attend, from the "race" standpoint (as opposed to the partying) is (imho) the bristol (tn) race at the end of each august. . .it's like watching a race inside of a football stadium. . .the speeds aren't particularly high, but the racing is literally bumper-to-bumper and door-to-door. . .lots of bumping and rubbing but no one ever really gets hurt. . .very exciting. . .

i've never been to a truck race, but i'm sure it'll be fun. . .

Truck series is cool, Bristol is a definite high point. But I also like Talladega (sp?) Man, any race is cool really, if your into it. Have fun dude, them trucks fly man. I mean, for a truck shaped body, these things just flat out get it. Indy racing and F1, too hard to watch man for me. When your there its like, who's the leader? LOL they sound like noisy sewing machines but those suckers fly by so fast you really have to watch at a distance.

i was able to duck around the shit and ride the 215
traffic wasn't that bad

it was a great time...my and my friends first race, so we were way unprepared for tailgaiting...so we get there an hour early, with no tickets, only a few beers and no food. the peeps we parked next to invited us over and fed us, gave us beers, and gave us each a ticket to go in@! fuggin score, some of the nicest bros i've ever met.
and the race was intense too, a lotta flags, but still...anyone who doesn't feel a rush as the cars fire by is a stiff with no soul

Bristol is the ONLY nascar race i put out the bucks and time to attend.
