going to my first nascar race tonight; anyone ever been?

I'm not big on Nascar at all only because they go in a big circle and I cant really relate to the cars. I love 1/4 mile racing as well as road courses and rally. But as I said with relating I don't care for top fuel drag racing because of the fact that you will never see one of those beasts on the road. Personally, turbo cars are my thing. I love getting 25 MPG and smoking something that gets 8 highway. But I can relate to the love of going fast so I hope you had fun at the races!

my wife and i got tickets one year from her company to the daytona 500. we arent nascar fans but we had a great time though. i wouldnt pay for it myself but if it was offered for free again id go again.

yeah the prices for sprint cup races are pretty outrageous, def over $100...i think the tix i got for free were around $30.
but i'd be interested to go to a big dawg race and i'll proly spend the loot for the march sprint car race here in vegas, just to see what it's about.
i'm never gonna be a big race fan, still bored by it on the tele, but i def give the drivers respect.

i live 15 miles from the talledega 500 speedway and i've never been to a race. matter of fact, we get the hell out of
dodge when they race. auburn \ alabama football, nascar and jesus.......i'll never fully understand these people.

the crowd was real interesting for sure.
not really my type but it was fun peeps surfing.
lotsa roughneck white boys and suprizingly alotta latinos.
