chalk it up to there being no good explanation for her doing that. she purely did not think at all before acting. she acted on an impulse and thought about the consequences later I suppose. she came clean to you about it, she said she felt stupid, do you feel she is being sincere? do you feel that, otherwise, she is trustworthy? if the answer is yes, then dont take this to a level that could be damaging. either way, DO keep this in the back of your mind.

I do feel that it was a bad choice and that she is being sincere. I didn't get into it last night because I'd probably have said something mean.

No, I know what you mean about the attention. That's a given. Knowing her, wang wasn't her motivation. She just did some dumb shit.
