getting up early has revolutionized my life

i used to be that guy who got to work right at start time.
then i'd have to force myself to go to the gym at night time, and i rarely had a good sess cause i'm usually tired and burnt from slaving all day...now i get up at 5, get to the gym at 6, and have my nights free to chill and sleep early.
my morning sessions are always great, i feel strong as fug and full of energy...that vibe helps me get thru the day.

I do prefer to get up early myself. I hate it when I get up and the waste my freaking day by sitting in my jamas till noon.

Now THAT is a crime.

When we had to go to the office in downtown Dallas I would get up at 4:30 to be in the pool by 5AM, get my happy ass home to be at work by 7:30 (my people had to start work by 8AM). We were on the 11th floor. I would make no less than 3 runs up those stairs Monday - Friday. Felt REALLY REALLY good. :)

Once I get over this virus/cold whateverthefuk it is I think I will get the Old Grump up to the gym BEFORE we open the office at 9AM. Our commute is relatively short and easy so I don't see why we can't pull this off Monday - Friday.
 
Even though I've had to get up early for work for the last 20 years and at this point I've completely lost the ability to sleep in (even on weekends) I'm still not a morning person. I can do cardio in the AM but the strength just isn't there for lifting.

What's frustrating is I can be sleep deprived and feel like shit in the morning, then about 8PM I suddenly come to life and feel wide awake. I guess I should have been an architect and not had kids so I could embrace my nightowl nature.
 
bino how many days a week are yuo doing this? I have been getting up during the week at 5:30 for 6am cardio as well. most days, that is. this morning, no. Just wasnt feeling up to it/
