If anyone would know about studies de-bunking the theory, or showing that the set point can be lowered, it would be MS. Maybe you should post a thread about it on the Women's forum, with her name in the subject? I don't think she reads any other forums here.

I have discussed ckd with a number of people and I really fail to see how it is anything but a calorie-reduced diet, but with the added feature of not having any energy.

The ckd'ers i have chatted with on EF rarely went above 2000-2500 cal/day.

That's it.......muscle sparing, but fat reducing, I ate bacon and eggs, steak with cheese and a ton of tuna mayonnaise today and the weight is melting off.
