Funny gym story...

gtbro1 said:
maybe that kid thought he was going deeper than he was.Maybe nobody ever told him how silly that looks...and how easily you can injure yourself with too much weight without proper form.

well you should go find all the little kids that dont know what they are doing and teach them the right way yoda

or you could say to your self how can these kids fathers just let them go into a gym with no direction and knowledge on saftey.

That's fine that you think it's funny. Napolean, that was uncalled for. Telling a kid, who is a lot smaller than you "do you have a problem" Do it to someone bigger, a gym rat wanabe, or a loud mouth new jack, at least they deserve it. I don't mean to flame you

Is a funny thing, but why not help the kid out and show him proper lifting techqs....on the other hand, it is a bit funny when you do see this.

Looking back, at one time I WAS one of those kids. Then someone helped me.

Mythical

I thought a gym was meant for working out, not for looking at other people work out and fucking up. Let the guy fuck up, he looks like an idiot, so what??

In my avatar I am 15 or 16 and worked out at Gold's Gym in San Jose CA. Scott Wilson was the Manager and Ed Corney worked out there. Ed Corney pulled 315 off me one time and offered me encouragement for the next time. Scott Wilson to this day is one of my heros because at 16 I would walk in and he would make me feel like I was one of the in crowd, one step away from moving to Venice beach.

Point is, and I flame you with apologies, that Your beratement of the kid is BS. If you know better, then offer you help. You were leaving so you were done with your workout. You might have had an impact on him that could propel him to be the 2015 Mr. O. Who knows. This sport/Hobby has lost a lot of what it used to be..a brotherhood ( and sisterhood) and thank god for the sisterhood:-) You ladies at the gym make it all worth it:-).

The old axiom that if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing is a good one. Even the though anyone who knows me in real life will tell you that I am the grumpiest son of a bitch you ever met. Especially in the AM.

Just don't be so critical...everyone starts out at the same place for the most part. And in BB there is a general rule of thumb. When you stop learning or think you know it all you are finished.

A lot of you young guys just THINK you know what you are doing because you are juicin. Sorry.

bicepts101, who IS that in your avatar bro?

I totally agree, we need to help these kids instead of making fun. If i knew then what I new now, man would my body be different. Give the kid credit for working out and hopefully in time he will learn about form, diet etc.

I have alot of kids in my town that know me because we all went to the same high school. I watch them from time to time and offer them advice just as long as they are willing to listen. For example there was this one kid who bench 225lbs for 2 1/2 and then jumped to 275lbs. I told him that will get him nowhere. I said try and hit 225 for 6-8 and then gradually move up. A couple of months later he is now doing it for 5 and thanked me. Mentor the children..lol
