what? I'm sorry I know I"m not mr fantasy league that know's everything about sports, but I do know a thing or two about the trenches.....where "real" football is played by the way. And from what I've watched the last couple years big 10 teams have been getting beasted on both sides of the line. I'm ecstatic that Ohio State has as good a line as they do this year......"finally". I got real tired of watching us get blown off the line on both sides of the ball. That's not armchair coaching either, that's just the way it's been. If your offensive line can't keep a bunch of "midgets", according to your astute football acumen, from crashing down the pocket.....you're not going to win games. Just face it that the big 10 has been getting bent over on the recruiting boards. The biggest, strongest and fastest athletes in the country have not been residing in the big 10 the last couple years with a few noteable acceptions like Jake Long. Midgets with wheels? If they suck so bad why has OSU been getting punked by them? And don't tell me about Tressel, yes he's a problem but he's not responsible for his players getting beasted off the line or getting smoked on a post route.

you realize the discussion was about past years and in my first post I made mention to the fact that "FINALLY" we had at least a d line that can stand and bang with what people were rating as the best o line in the country (USC). You did catch that right? I'm fully aware that our defense looks good so far this year and had the offense been able to keep them off the field a little bit longer we more than likely would have beaten USC. I'm happy for that. But the facts about what's happened the last couple years speak for themselves. Teams from the SEC and Pac 10 were just bigger stronger and faster than the big 10. That's pretty much fact set in stone. I'm hella glad that at least at Ohio State, things seem to be changing a little.

Bucks only managed to pick up 13 of the top 20 national recruits in 09, and 7 verbals from the top 20 for 2010.... Wow really getting bent over I say
I know you're not aware of this because you're not really a OSU fan, you live in Ohio, just read the standings in the newspaper and base your assumptions off broadcasters on ESPN
I gaurantee you can't even name 5 starters on OSU without the help of google

If these were all the greatest recruits in the country, why have they been physically outplayed for the last 4 years? I know you understand what's being said here, cause every buckeye fan knows that we've been getting outhustled and outmuscled for the last couple years. Why you're trying to convince otherwise is beyond me. And you do realize that a good recruiting class takes 2-3 years to develop right? So unless your last name is pryor, you likely won't get much playing time till at least 2 years into your college career. Obviously the greats get on the field quicker, but trench position like the lineman and linebackers usually take 3 years to develop cause those boys "usually" need to put on muscle before they play D1 ball. Don't argue with me on this either, I've seen you and you're small.....you don't understand what it takes to play the hoss positions in college ball, let alone D1. Go look at the Ohio state front seven, mostly all jr's and seniors with a few noteable exceptions like Homan and bell. But who's the best linebacker so far this season? Rolle. But even he wouldn't be gettin his like he is if it weren't for the front line keeping o lineman from getting off on the linebackers. Again, if you haven't played DL or LB don't bother making a counterargument.
