For those of you who "hate" America and wish to see it fall; for those who think we are the world's bully and that the world would be better without an American superpower, I challenge you, if you are TRULY concerned with American ideals,... like liberty... like prosperity, freedom, justice and unalienable rights due to every man and woman simply for being such, promote these ideals in America, the country who has been the greatest promoter of them throughout the last century and from inception.

Many of you find the socialistic/communist (yes communist) Utopian dream to be the ideal, and America to be the threat to that.

Let me put this to you; in a socialist world, where everyone wallows in mediocrity and claustrophobic amounts of legislation, there is still a power base. There is no true equality. There never can be, it is simply the way of things. Only in this landscape, power stagnates and changes hands far less, because unlike an American economic model, it is extremely hard to go from nothing to everything in the land of socialism.

Survival of the fittest breeds evolvement and growth. It is the way in which nature was designed to promote constant progress. The Utopian ideal, the design antonymous of Nature, promotes stagnation, among other things.

Altruism is a virtue. Forced altruism is tyrannical.

Just some musings from your friendly neighborhood Frackal, developing his political idealogies at the speed of capitalism.

Frackal, people won't understand because nobody likes to think for themselves. Only a select few possess the gift of logic.

Im surprised by someone who regards himself as a thinker on this board: None of those theories/concpts are American since none of them originated there. Furthermore what makes u think that the U.S. has been the greatest promoter of them , take "justice" for example , where the laughable Nuremberg trials were opened by an American judge proclaiming that the Allies would always maintain their own standards in both prosecution and defence. Contrast that with you're continued refusal to allow U.S. personnel to be tried on war crimes. All this after an internationally illegal war? All of such comments are even only partly true if u insert the phrase "for Americans" after each one , - freedom for Americans (to do whatever the wish) , prosperity for Americans etc. And it's "INalienable". The American media is the most censored blinkered news conglomerate in the West , it repeatedly lies to its people and like sheep they do not demand of their administration to do anything about it. Why were only British crews investigating the veracity of U.S. military reports ? Accountability , give me a break.

First of all what u term socialism , communism capitalism and monetarism were all developed by British people (and two Germans as it happens). Socialism has worked pretty well in France from what I can see , and not too bad in Sweden and Norway either. Do u think that modern capitalistic Russia is any less corrupt than before? Communism is little more than a dream , it is not realistic , at least not in the long term.

You're a young guy Frackal , you've much to learn. Much of what led to the rise of the U.S. was luck and opportunism , Russia could just as easily have filled the vacuum as the U.S. , they had just gutted themselves against the Germans (see numerous threads here regarding the relative size of the Russian war effort). And what of Britain , a once proud nation reduced to lap-dog status. The world needs balance , America is/has behaved as a bully has , even some of my most pro-American friends feel that way , the U.N. for example is essentially a U.N. dictat (example: removal of Peres De Cuela over his opposition to Amercian imperialism and imposition of Kofi Annan). and even they werent goin to fall over and pay for a war entirely in the U.S. interest. I suggest to you that the lives of many Iraqis were needlessly taken from them (and without due cause) in this U.S. show of "justice" and "freedom".

The irony of America is we puport to be this free society, yet we are more repressed, especially sexually, than Canada or Europe.
