I noticed much quicker flow through the 22g

That is because the pin is bigger man... If you want a quick injection go for the bigger pin but I do a lot of injecting and dont wanna deal with much scar tissue... Just personal preference... Make sure to be switching injection sites as often as possable this should help also... You wanna see a fast inject try an 18ga That will flow some oil

18g? yeah I use it to drain the toilets when they're blocked...

23g -> glutes
25g -> delts

I dont do quads...
