I saw on the news up here that it was up to 153 dead. I was in Paris this time last year. Makes ya stop and think a bit. Can you imagine if the rest of Europe starts closing their boarders??

I believe the border was closed to keep any potential perpetrator from escaping. It is temporary, France will open its borders again. It wont do anything for terrorists. Most terrorists are likely to use a visa and get into their country of choice.
The backlash though means lots of innocents will dies in search for ISIS leaders. More innocents will be killed than any associated with ISIS. What a sad situation.

Children and people not associated with ISIS who just happen to be in a vicinity of bombs dropped like bird crap are just as innocent as any that died in Paris. Considering the percentage of ISIS members, it's a fair likelihood that most that die in the quest to wipe out ISIS are not ISIS.

i'm simply tipping my hat to the subjective nature of innocence...all those refugees who were recently allowed into france, some of them knew that there were killers among them, they didn't participate in the deed but it doesn't make them any less guilty...

You assume all that live within the vicinity of a supposed member are associated with them? That is a huge generalization.
At any rate, I'm sure there are plenty who mirror your thoughts. I don't imagine the deaths of innocents (however you define that, it a fair possibility) to mean much more than collateral damage.
As for attack in the US, I suppose that is possible as well. Social media has been a good recruiting medium for ISIS it seems. They might have some ready individuals in every state, who know.

If you're talking about bombs dropped in ISIS occupied areas, anyone left there probably isn't an innocent anyway. Out of those who haven't fled; they are selling the women and children, or rounding them up and taking them into the desert to shoot them, and they have beheaded the men. According to Amnesty International they have carried out ethnic cleansing on a "historic scale". Who is left that they are actually letting live? Probably those who aren't innocent.

Muslims and Christians ultimately pray to the same God. Yeah, more prayers should be given as if that God gives a shit about the innocent or guilty.
At any rate, the whole thing makes my entire being heavy with sadness, but it is nothing new. I hope it will all end soon, but hope is like prayers, ultimately useless.

Like I said, they have fled or they are dead. Look at your own stats. I was trying to reassure you that there probably weren't very many innocents left there (I specially meant Raqqa because I thought we were talking about France) where beheadings were an every day occurrence and where most of the city has fled who aren't ISIS sympathizers. And people aren't just going in and doing this for fun and bombing schools and innocents in an otherwise peaceful area. That's not what's happening.

Of course I'm being facetious..I'm hinting at the hypocrisy of these people killing in the name of religion..but the eradication part? I'm serious about that. A group of people have declared war on humanity in the name of religion. They have proven that they can not and will not be reformed. They have to go. The "innocent" people that they hide behind will suffer during the process of elimination. I didn't make up the rules. Hell, they did. They hope that there are enough bleeding hearts out there, wringing their hands over the innocent people, to allow them time to proliferate, or at least do as much damage as they can before they go to meet allah, in hopes that they'll get a couple extra virgins..as if 72 is not enough.

Christianity and Islam in particular do have a bloodier history than most religions,but this is not the first group to declare war on humanity in the name of God nor will it be the last.
I do acknowledge your point and I understand that the quicker they are eliminated, the lower the risk of more potential threats/fatalities. I don't kno what they hope, but the idea of wiping them out by any means necessary inludes too many possibilities for terrible.

I would prefer a world without religion, but not idealistic enough to believe that such terrible deeds wont be committed using another modem in the absence of religion. I tend to feel a need to stand up for those unable to do so and am very much tied to my personal values so I agree with him. It's not always the best thing as it illicits more of an emotional response that might go against a more logical stance.

You know what? It's Monday but it's a short week for a most of us in the US due to the pending holiday...so, spirits are probably a little higher than a normal Monday. Here's a bright little thought for you...some day in the not too distant future (compared to the age of the universe) the sun is going to run out of gas and all life on this planet will cease to exist... and anything that happens between now and then won't really amount to a hill of shit in the grand scheme of things. Enjoy your Monday and your holiday!
