For you older bro's out there, If you could go back and do it all over again what....

I would never have used Deca. Way back when, it was considered a "safe" drug, but it supresses T as much as anything else. It also kills your libido while on it. (due to the progesterone) It bloats you. It cause gyno. Deca is an outdated drug. And it's expensive. I can't see why anyone would still use it.

And BTW. Primo is a derivitive of DHT but doesn't necessarily impart the effects of DHT so it's no worse for your hair than anything else.
 
I'd have started with deadlifts and free weight squats sooner for building mass quicker but, in my defense, there wasn't a lot of equipment or good spotters back when I was into it.
 
Im 32, i have no regrets. But i do wish i would have focused on nutrition much more...In my opionion nutrition is 60% of the entire package..........Eat right, eat alot, and keep eating.......
 
Always use Nolvadex; Use hair topicals now available that were unavailable years ago -- e.g., topical Spironolactone, Xandrox, Nizoral, etc; Stay away from Anadrol; Stick to Deca; Use the now widely available Anavar which was almost impossible to find years ago; Always have Clomid available post cycle; Post cycle initially use HCG but never without Nolvadex because of rise in estrogen that accompanies HCG's rise in testosterone; Use clenbuterol post-cycle for its anti-catabolic properties; Use creatine and glutamine and HMB post cycle; Don't emphasize highly androgenic steroids in cycle; Moderation; Don't become psychologically addicted and stay on for a long time -- instead, take sufficient breaks employing proper post-cycle drugs to restore natural test and sperm count; Don't get too big too fast because your non-bodybuilding peers will catch on and may talk behind your back (especially when you lose size between cycles) or, worse, may shun you altogether.
 
BBKingpin, I think I can honestly say that I disagree with just about everything you said.
 
Agree with prior post about using an anti-e with HCG, after many cycles with no problems, for which I never did any post cycle therapy at all, one of the last cycles when I used HCG it gave me bitch tits which I eventually got fixed. Also as part of that same cycle, I bulked to around 250lbs, it was really too much for me at that time, and higher fat levels may have contributed to the post cycle rise in estrogen. Looking back it was an unhealthy cycle and I would not force feed or bulk like that again, I would just take it slower and let the gains come about in moderation. There is so much better information available today, but you still have to be smart to avoid the mis-information (like in regards to dosage amounts), learn your body, nutrition, and avoid the pyschological issues and addiction. You really don't need to train as much as we used to, either. One thing I learned more recently is I crash harder now than then, although it was no fun then either. I think the smoothest off-cycle I ever had was just a real slow taper going into the spring, from like a 4-5 month late fall / winter cycle. I think spring / summer leads to stronger circadian rythms and that helps restore the HPTA.
