so yesterday I woke up feeling a huge headache coming on, tried to fight it all day and at 5 took some advil, this morning, I can feel it coming again. I am not wiating till five for drugs, arrrrrr :rolleyes:

on another note, I am sooo excited for my son he is trying out for indoor soccer this weekend! I have to go to a stupid open house candle party, try make it for a BB competition just to watch, visit with grama and come back here for the tryouts all in one day. Probably why I couldn't sleep last night.

As far as the headaches, I've gotten like that, too. No sense trying to tough it out, when a coupla pills will deal with it, as long as you're not living off the pills.

I usually muti pretty good especially with 4 kids but I have to be at soooo many places on saturday, I really just want to go to the tryouts! and yup popped a pill, it is better as long as I don't lean over, the headache is all in the right eye, which is weird cause usually I get them in the left. Oh well, whatcha going to do :)

Whenever I get a bad headache, I take 3 Xtra strength Tylenol. Or they have these new ones out, basically an extra strength with caffeine. The recommended dosage is 1. I take 2.

Headache update

mY HEAD fucking hurts, arrrrrrrr (sarge, I am going to put a patch on my eye soon :) )I took 2 tylenol migrane things and it still feels like my eye is going to pop out of my head.

Trying to fucking figure out payroll and taxes and cpp and how much gst we owe and when, I am sooo done tonight.

On a better note, parents coming over tomorrow to see how much it is going to cost to get the basement all wired up and hubby is taking me out on a date, if my fucking head doesn't fucking explode first.

....my hubby just came up to me and did something funking with my head, he just saw it on survivor, I am not shitting you, it kinda worked.

Good morning,

DAY 3 of headache. I am starting to think it is something I am eating at this point. I know that I increased my calories so that may be it???? I can't figure it out and it is driving me nuts!!! it is all on the left side of my head, I get them around my you know what but I am not even close to that and I have never had one this long.

If anyone can figure out why in the world I would have a headache for three days and figure out how to get rid of it massive K to them. I can't take tylenol during the day cause one: it didn't work and two: I am overly sensitive to it and I literally pass out and I can't be doing that with my girls.
 
wow...sorry to hear that ck. is it a headache or is it a migraine? it could be your sinus as well. are you stuffy? feeling sick?? what are your symptoms...diga me!

My hubby said sinus last night too, but I don't have snot in my head???? the headache started actually on the right side on day one and migrated to the left eye and now it is completly on the left side going down my neck. other than that just tired but I think being tired is from the two tylenols I took last night which didn't work. I am starting to think it is a migraine my usual test is going out in the sun to see if it bothers my eyes but there is no sun today :rolleyes:
 
it could be stress.....stress starts in your shoulders and works it's way up and can cause severe headaches...your best bet is to go to the doctor....see hwat he/she (i was going to write he but then i realized i'm in the women's forum ;) ) says....if it's still bothering you maybe get a catscan just to be sure if the headaches still persist

My doctor is male LOL. Don't say catscan, I go for an MRI in October. :rolleyes:

it is probably just stress, going out with hubby tonight, hopefully that will relieve it, if it is stress.

You don't need nasal congestion with a sinus headaache. There are, I think, 6 sinus cavities. There are some behind your cheeks, under your eyes, & some above your eyes, behind your forehead. The ones behind your forehead could be infected& the drainage goes down your throat, not out your nose. Try sinus meds, before going out to dinner.
I'm going out too. Wifey & I are taking a friend out to dinner. Have you ever heard of Joeys Fish & Chips. It's a national chain, with most excellent sea food. I always get the Blackened Snapper. Delish. & pretty healthy too.

We are going to Tony romas for ribs :) I know of Joeys but have never tried it. My headache is getting a little better, I am making sure I drinking tons of water today and eating every two hours and it seems to be helping. I think cleaning the house two days ago I didn't eat or drink enough and that is what sparked it, but I am just surprized it lasted this long.

I finally got my diet from my trainer so starting tomorrow it is supposed to be 2427 calories, but I plugged it into fit day and that is what I got.

HER RATIO IS C77.3% F5.6% AND P17.1%

I am supposed to pack what I need to eat and bring it to the gym and eat it right after my workout. She told me this will be for 8 weeks, I am all up for the experiment and have made a spreadsheet to track my meals. I am going to pack my food for the whole day tomorrow and carry a cooler around with me cause it is a crazy day tomorrow.

Sinus, Head, Phlemb, throat, stomach aches, WITHDRAWL ... IMo your body is cleaning out some serious SHIT. ANy infection or cold will only aggravate that.

oh bunny, I started again :rolleyes: :worried: Actually last night my husband asked me when I was going to try quit again especially given the health concerns for myself, he is really mad at me. I really want to try the accu to see if that works. I started smoking when I was 11 :rolleyes:
 
P.S. I would also think twice about weighing yourself often with this diet, maybe 1-2 X a week or not at all :) Remember your goal & what you are trying to accomplish. :rose:
 
1 day at a time... 1 hour at a time... 1 minute at a time... Do whatever helps.

Some people can do cold turkey, some ease off slowely... figure out whatever works best for you... as long as you want to do it.

Yeah, that is what she told me.... this is what she emailed me.....

Attached is your food choice values. I have based the weight upon 135lbs and not your current weight. You will notice that your total calories are in between the numbers for maintenance and building. The reason for this is to allow your body to adjust to the increase in calories. Please follow the portions accurately. If you change it, we will end up with a build up of adipose tissue (fat stores) instead of muscle. You will notice once again there is no added fat, sugar or alcohol because these macronutrients are not conducive to muscle building.

Only weigh yourself 1 time per month, preferably 2 weeks into your cycle as that is your truest weight.

This phase can be a tough one to wrap the old brain around but remember it is only for 8 weeks. Your calories will increase closer to the building number in a couple more weeks.

cold turkey is the only way to go for me, if I try cut down all I do is obsess on when I can have the next smoke, I hate that. It is coming again where I will and I will do it for good this time. I am letting stress be too much of an excuse cause I know it is never going to go away, and I don't feel any better smoking because I am stressed, I just get stressed smoking cause I am stressed. :)

stb - hybernation, we are going to be fully clothed anyways soooo I figure it is ok. :)

CK, personal training doesnt include nutrition. Inmagine, when i ask PT's in the gym about diets they tell me to refer to the food pyramid because they dont want to be 'liable'

HOW were supermans? i always wanted to try that specific excercise....

Traiing/diet is ON POINT! GO CK!

I know you said you don't like candy or gum, but it's not like you liked cigs either when you started, NO WAY you did. I suggest finding something to appease the oral fixation (I am being serious please do NOT joke about that), but the hand to mouth gesture of smoking also becomes habit. Maybe get a Grip to play with, a stress ball, something to keep your hand, mouth & head occupied & off the relief a cig will falsely bring.

Actually, the diploma that I am going to be taking and that she took does include it.

The supermans, well this time they weren't painful and easier. Before accupucture they hurt like a mother -FU*&(&, now they don't! I know now exercises aren't supposed to hurt, I never said anything before about the pain cause I thought I just had to work through it, oops.

THat killed me, because I have the same thoughts... and NO matter what I say nothing has made my mom be able to quit... she did once for a few months or well cut back dramatically but then just picked right back up again... so I feel ya on that one completely :rose:

CK hun, I know from seeing your will power with sticking to diet and your workouts (even when sick) that you are gonna be able to get past the smoking and able to drop it no prob ;) :heart:

Shit, now I am crying, arrrrrr. I know, actually the stress balls are a good idea, I wonder where you can get them from? Cause I literally need to just do something, especially when I get stressed out. the ones after eating and while driving are just habit, I missed them at first but it wasn't a biggy. But the stress thing is.

Yeah I am reading this book about quiting smoking it is quite insightful Allen Cars "Easyway to Stop Smoking" talks about how you didn't start smoking to become a smoker and how it really doesn't relieve stress.

Just know ck, that you can do it, & we are all here to support you. :heart:
It is just a decision, but not that one. Maybe not the next one. But you WILL do it, & you WILL beat it. I quit 6 or 7 times in one year, before I finally had enough. You know, as with the diet & exercise, not to get down on yourself when you backslide. Just get up on that horse & ride it again.
 
CK..there some meds that can help....you can do it...you really can!! We are all here for you when you start your I quit log......

From a daughter's perspective (ME!) - watching my parents as growing up smoking & have a myriad of health problems that got worse as they aged ALL from smoking.......*knowing* in the back of my head they were going to die from it sooner rather than later......well, when they both died BEFORE I TURNED 30 - well, it was hard to be alone in the world @ 30yo with no parents.....

Think about your kids & the example you are showing them & how you want to watch them grow up & experience their adult life events......Just think about that.....

My Dad & Step Mom both smoke. She has emphezema(?), & they quit, but start again. She's on Oxygen. It hurts to think it, but I think my Dad is going to bury his second wife, too. I got quite mad at him once, but I think they've decided they're going to do whatever the hell they want with the time they have left.

I am sorry to hear about your parents :heart: My kids and husband are begging me to quit and I know I have no excuses.

My dad's dad died of lung cancer and my dad was diagnosed with emphezema last christmas, at first they thought it might be lung cancer and everyone in my family has only died of cancer :rolleyes: So I know.

It is soooo hard cause I get so pissed off with myself everytime I smoke or when I quit and start again.
 
When you make the concious decision to QUIT, you will. You will have to decide what is more important to you. And yes, I do know about quitting, as I quit smoking cold turkey 16 years ago. I had just started working out and found out that smoking 2 packs a day and trying to complete an aerobics class are just not compatible. Fitness became my priority, so I put the smokes down. That and my son who was around 5 y/o at the time kept tellin' me "Mom, I don't want you to die". You can do it! :heart:

I had just started working out and found out that smoking 2 packs a day and trying to complete an aerobics class are just not compatible. Fitness became my priority, so I put the smokes down. That and my son who was around 5 y/o at the time kept tellin' me "Mom, I don't want you to die". You can do it! :heart:


yeah I know I quit for 3 months and with in a week my cardio rocked.

Best damn cheat meal I have ever had. Started off with a vanilla milk shake with whip cream on top (waiting for our table). Then, Baby back ribs with a 70z steak, skewer of shrimp, bowl of fried mushrooms, ceasar salad and cheese garlic bread. Finished it off with a chocolate brownie sundae (hot brownie drizzled with chocolate, with ice cream on top and whip cream around it) oh yeah, and a beer :)

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed yours. Mine wasn't nearly as satisfying.
On the other hand, I have some family coming over for a BBQ & horseshoes on Sunday. I'll have a big ass steak, with 1/2 baked potatoe & some broccoli. :RADAR: That, right there, is heaven.

ha ha 7 oz! My head is feeling a lot better, it is in the back of my neck now and a little bit in the eye, but manageable. It is like it is ligering but way way better than before.

Soccer tryouts today!!!! I am praying they don't cut my son, just cause he has never had to try out before and I don't want him to be disappointed :worried:

That happens to me too. My stomach is flattest right after I eat crap the night before. But the scale will show I'm quite a few pounds heavier when I get on it. I think I just look leaner when I'm filled out more, go figure!

Quite the cheat meal you had, CK! I had to read through it twice since it sounded so good! :FRlol:

overhead extension=10lbs
abs=decline crunches/leg lifts

30min cardio

How many sets of abs should you do to get good results 3x8 or 10x5 3x40 or...?????

now on to the cig thing.....QUIT DAMN IT!!!! i smoked since i was 17 til i was 26....just turned 28 and have been smoke free for 2 years...i quit cold turkey! only way to go...NO MEDS!!! everyone that i know that has taken some type of aid in quitting is now back at it again. my biggest problem is that i'm a partier...and i smoke when i drink...not anymore but i used to. i would easily have a pack in one night...but the constant coughing and feeling like shit and missing meals and stinking like a chimney etc etc....i had enough and did it! i use to smoke over a pack a day....you can do it!!!! trust me....

I agree with Jens 110%... I love working out when I'm stressed or mad or whatever thats when I have some of my best workouts :D I noticed that lookin back over the last couple weeks of August... and again I know you got this!! Just think lol.... BALLOONS hehe that will keep ya on track :lmao:

As I was getting in my car coughing this morning, I was actually excited thinking about the fact that I won't be anymore soon!!!!!!

Raining stil, it has been all week. My boy has soccer again today, we won't find out for 2 weeks if he has made the competitive team, arrrr. Going to the gym today to kill that shit! Went grocery shopping.

Gotta make my meal list for the week.
Clean the house,
do the wash
and clean the basement (getting it ready to put electrical, drywall all that fun stuff.
Mother in law is coming over, and guy to fix dish washer this week. and hopefully get a phone call for that job this week. My boss told me they phoned him 3 times for my information (he couldn't give it out until he asked me).

2. My son won't find out about soccer for like 2 weeks they said. It was funny cause there he is in net dancing around but he did awesome when he was paying attention. Ended up getting a bleeding nose twice.

4. Found out my great aunt died today (she had alziemers)
5. Found out my friend committed suicide.

My friend had a son about my daughters age. Cried all night and now my eyes are all puffy, but I am not going to cry anymore for a coward. I am extremely angry right now.

Going to clean the basement and do something with my daughters today. Tonight I see my trainer, I have a feeling today's workout is going to be a good one.

I also did assisted pull ups

I can't seem to get past 20 to 25lbs on any bicep exercise, arrrrrr

I wouldn't say be happy with it. Just keep pushing & don't fret it tooo much.
I would say to try different workout programs, if you weren't seeing a trainer. Yoiu never know what might work for you, or when.
 
Looking good! Sorry to hear about your friend and Aunt...Its ok to be really mad at her right now! The only hurt everyone else when they take their life. How selfish......(((HUGS))))
