Flexed1 Is Seriously Ill!!!!!!!!!!

I am on the phone with Flexed1 in the hospital and it is very serious. His stomach has swollen up like a pregnant woman and the doc told him had he gone to Dallas this weekend instead of going into the hospital he would have died. The doctor also told him that he has a serious liver disease that no one has ever told him about. They will run tests tomorrow to find out the full extent of the damage and he will be on some type of therapy the rest of his life. This is all on top of the pancreas issue.

He is in lots of pain right now and it doped up on morphine, but wanted me to let everyone know that we all have got to appreciate life while we have got it. His body can no longer tolerate any type of juicing any longer......not saying that is what has caused his illness, but it has caused a faster deterioration.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! Keep Flexed in your prayers!!! I will be going to see him this weekend as he will be in the hospital for some time.

Flexed1 is my dearest friend, and we almost lost him, all because of the quest for a trophy and hard-headedness!!! Don't know how much sense this post makes as I am sobbing and upset, but just wanted to let everyone know what was going on and to get as many prayers going as I possibly can!!

I don't mean to sound insensitive, but when you get a chance, please fill us in with more detail about the situation. What is the illness specifically? What was the cause? Do we know to what extent his gear use aggravated the condition. Any idea how long he had this before this point?

This is a good heads up for all of us to play it safe and rethink once and a while what we are doing, and not to go overboard, because anything can happen .

i agree with Silent Method, his cycle history and information about his illness would be helpful

Fuck I can't believe im reading this!! Flexed1 is a good bro and I was looking forward to him kicking everyone's ass at his next competition. Prayers definately go out to him.
 
My thoughts and prayers go out to flexed1, he was a very supportive and knowledgeable bro. This goes to show that even the best and strongest of us can be hit with something as terrible as this. None of us are immortal. I just understood that. This is horrible news.
 
Oh man, I hope he's ok and makes it through this. He was fucking with me just a few days ago saying how it will be him and I competing for the nationals in the future.

Shit... my boy just told me there is a thread like this.. im thinking Wtf... hell no..can not be....not a fucking good day.. just found out a close relative died :( and now i hear this scary shit.....GOD BLESS YOU BRO....i wil pray for you tonight i mena it...this will no doubtedly make me watch wtf i am doing more carefully..becouse i kno now flex can tell you you don tknow how important you rhealth is untiill you dont have it..you will be ok though bro..my prayers are with you.
 
God i hope Everything will be ok with Flexed. He is a good bro. I Just had an idiea i dont know how good it is. I know that for something like that hospital bill would be a bitch. So here is what i propose, we should all send in 5-10 bucks to help Flexed out Iknow its not that much, but if we all gonna do it it would help him great deal. Just give me the address , and im sending money out first thing tomororw.. We should all stick together and help each other out and specialy in times like that.

That is seriously a GREAT idea! I cannot believe this when I read it... Texas Guns, do you know if flexed's insurance will cover this or not? If not I think it would be a really nice thing to do....even if only 40 people send 10 dollars that would still help out.
 
He's in my prayers.....setting up something to make a donation would be great.

Does anyone know what he was taking as far as AS is concerened? I wonder if he was at least supplementing his diet with ALA, Cranberry, and Milk Thistle to help clean his blood.

Just talked to Flexed this morning and he is not well. Apparently he has had an allergic reaction to the meds and is have a very hard time even talking. Tests will begin today to diagnose the liver complications. I will be heading down to spend the weekend with him tomorrow.

We can set up some sort of fund to help assist him as he has no insurance to cover these expenses. If anyone wants to contribute, pm me and I will send you an address.

I will print out these threads so that I can take them and read them to him. Please guys and dolls, pray like you have never prayed before!!!!!

Damn TG. If it helps any, I have a bud that went through the same thing although Flexed's case may be worse. The doc said that roids caused it. He was doing serious cycles. Anyway, it took a while but now he is doing OK. Back in the gym but drug free. Good luck to Flexed.
 
This sucks.

Always hard to see a member of our community be in this type of condition. We all hope and pray that you make it through Flexed. Keep your head up. The mind body connection is so important in a time like this. Staying positive can only help you. Good luck bro, it will be tough but you will make it through. We are ALL pulling for you.

Tg, there is no way your going to be able to keep up with the PM's etc. Might I suggest you set up a paypal account we can send donations to and then make the mail addy public, it will save you a lot of time and allow us to send funds asap. I for one am ready to send funds immediatly.

I'm very sorry to hear this. flexed1 was looking great for his next contest. I was planning on picking his brain for some contest prep tips. I hope he gets better very soon and I'll be thinking of him.
 
Although I don't know Flex personally, I've read many of his posts
and admire his acomplishments.

This is very upsetting to hear someone going through such pain. It sounds as though he is one tough MF. God Bless and Good Luck.
 
I cant believe this.
I had been interested in his progress heading into the show he was preparing for and everything seemed good to go....life is a precious gift, i have learned that today.

This is truly terrible news. Flex, and his family are in my prayers. I sincerley hope he makes a fast, and complete recovery. I would also send funds to help.

I don't know you, and I haven't been on this board very long. I feel very comfortable here, and I am learning so much. I have read through many of your posts, and I appreciate the effort you have put into the board as well as your lifestyle. I was reading through this thread, and it is obvious that you mean a lot to so many people. I will pray for you, and I will keep you in my thoughts as I carry on with my daily routines. You sound like a fighter to me, and I know you are fighting like hell right now.

And the rest of us should take a hard look at what we're doing. Do we really need to bump the doses alittle higher? Do we really need to only wait short periods between cycles. There's nothing special about Flexed1, he does all the same things we do. This post could just as easily be about you.

You are so right bro! Flexed did not do out of this world doses. It is not conclusive that this is what caused his problem but....... Juice is a drug! I think people forget that. This is part of the reason I have preached conservative doses so much.

It's always sad to hear that a fellow bodybuilder and elite brother has become ill.I hope and pray that the same drive he has to achieve sucess will also pull him though this and back on the stage.God bless you flexed your in my prayers.
 
Flexed1 strived to be the best and sacraficed so much to get where he is now. In my mind he is a stand up guy we should all strive to be like. He wanted something more than any thing and put his heart and soul into getting it. You are in my prairs my friend! Stay Strong!

I will be leaving for Austin tomorrow. Flexed will be doing tests most of the day and they will also do a liver biopsy. All this while they are trying to reduce his swollen pancreas. He had an allergic reaction to some of his medication that caused him difficutly breathing.

He also received some beautiful flowers today from some of you here. He is beside himself with all the well wishes and prayers everyone is offering up. You will never know how much it means to him and all of you are helping him get through this.
