First Timer - Looking for some direction!

You're looking for easy answers. You think because this is a steroid site everybody is all excited about handing out free advice to anyone who wants to take steroids. You're in the wrong place. This is a site for bodybuilders -- people who want the most muscles any way they can get it, including steroid use. If you want to learn, stick around. If you really don't care about lifting heavy ass weights, monitoring your diet, exploring the best supps to take, learning about what gear does and what are the risks and how PCT works -- then don't bother.

To be completely honest I've got "geek" genes. I program complex algorithms and regular expressions all day and feel like I'd be more suited to study these chemicals than use them. That being said I push and push and push- I've tried all kinds of routines, diets, OTC supplements and I'm making very little gains. I really feel like I'm just a very slow gainer. Hard to stay motivated when my progress is miniscule and I'm exerting a lot of effort.

(Sorry guys I have to run I'll check in late tonight or tomorrow and read some more stickies / reply. Thanks!)

What books have you read regarding steroid use?

Not gonna lie I hear so many people say I did all the right things and it didn't work. Well the reason is you DIDN'T DO ALL THE RIGHT THINGS. You are too young for steroids in my opinion and I don't believe anyone should take them unless they were going to be a professional bodybuilder or prescribed by a doc. In your post you stated in shape, small/mid beer gut. Well if you have a small/mid beer gut you aren't in shape. Dial in your diet. I swear I tell so many people that diet is seriously 85% the most important thing in training. Buy some whey protein (protein factory 10lb pale!) and take 3 shakes a day along with 6-8 small meals (of good quality food no fast food)

That is seriously the only way to build muscle and yourself. I used to think that I had a good diet until I started writing down everything I ate, needless to say I was shocked that I wasn't eating enough and I wasn't eating good food half the time. You can't build muscle without gaining weight and for that you need calories and protein intake. It has always been extremely hard for me to gain weight ever since high school when I wrestled. I finished Highschool weighing 160lbs. Last year I weight 180-185lbs, and thats when I realized I wasn't doing the right things and wasn't focused enough at all. Currently I'm 211lbs and still gaining. (Currently a mass gaining diet...trying to get up to 240-245 before I cut so my diet isn't the cleanest) Trust me write down what you eat, write down days you trained what you trained and how much weight you were using and post it all in a thread, we can critique and help you out where you need it. And another thing............DON'T TRY TO LIFT TOO HEAVY!!!

Too many people try to impress other people in the gym. If you can't control the weight going up and down 3 seconds each you really have no right using it. I seen a guy in the gym trying to do shrugs with 500lbs............umm he barely lifted the thing off the pins, didn't even get one and looked around like he was he-man while I was doing shrugs right next to him with 255lb. I was much larger than this fellow, so remember its not how much you can lift in bodybuilding. Its more about controlled movements.

If I can do it all natural, you can do it and everyone else can. But it all depends no how bad you want it.

22? bro ur a tank full of test! use it don't supreess it with steroids.....you can go over 200 lbs naturally first then try them,
body fat? hight??
my my sticky, I wrote my diet and exercises in it too. I'm still natural

That's not true for all..Man, I couldn't get over 139 pounds naturally and I am 5' 8! I weighed 126 out of high school, and when I was 22, I weighed about 130 , lifting. I was eating right and excercising. Man, I could eat anything and nothing would stick to me!

But, i would say to ambient, you need to A) stop drinking, b) work out 5 days a week for your first 6 months and c) cardio, cardio, cardio. If you can lose the fat and still can't gain much in muscle (more like a year honestly), then I would say go for it. Because most guys who don't have it down, are just going to drink more, eat crappy and half-ass work out and then get on EF and post "I can't lose the fat on my body and I didn't gain sh#t on my cycle! what's wrong? Did I get bunk gear!?!?"

You must be dedicated first, motivated second and results come in..

^^^ A hardgainer Ecto has little use for masses of cardio in a bulking diet IMO. If the resistance training is at an intensity that will stimulate muscle breakdown & subsequent growth, then only a small 15 min cardio session is necessary at the end of the training session & not even on all training days. Increased muscle mass will then take care of BF levels. Diet needs to be 50% carb, 40% protein & 10% good fats.

Dude, your three years "on and off" still puts you in the beginner stage. If you're not making gains, frustrated, losing motivation, and varying diet/routine/supps quickly in only a couple years of on and off training... heh, don't expect much from steroids.

:cow:

Let me ask you this- is it possible to lose the BF and put on muscle at the same time? I.E. heavy lifting and cardio? Or does the overeating cancel out the cardio (calories burned)

I guess I need to give a little more thought to my diet. Now whats this about drinking? I have a beer or a glass of wine with dinner and get drunk maybe 1-2 times on the weekend.

Now lets talk about legal supplements for a min...

Slickdeals.net had a 10lb bag of ON whey on sale for $55 two days ago so I have that on the way.... I was using pro complex blend for a while with NO-XPlode.

What do you reccomend for creatine? Also- thinking about trying the Amplify20/MCC/Gcovery Stack.
