i hurt my wriST ABOUT 2 MONTHs ago, and couldnt do ANY FREE WEIGHT PUshing or pulling. I HAD TO Use machineS, whiched SUCKED. but im pretty much back to normal. on flat i did 275 3x8 whiched i waS HAPPY ABOUT. karma for anyone bouncing back from an injury - "beaST"
Congrats on your recovery. I just went through a rehab period of almost 1 1/2 years because of a shoulder issue. I had about a three month period in there where I could lift free weights, the rest was spent on machines or very light db's.

wow.. I don't think I've ever seen anybody do that much weight for 3 sets of 8 on bench... what is your height/weight? I can tell your BF from you avatar
Tore my hamstring in December and a reinjury in February. Finally pulled an easy 623 the other day, squatted 607 x 2, 495 x 8, and took a grand on the Super Yoke for 25'. I'm coming back slowly...but surely.

in the av , which iS PRETTY OLD, my weight waS 170, NOW IM ALMOst 190. AND IM 5'3 HARD TO BELIEVE.
YA, THE THING WAs, i waS USing a SMITH FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHs, and was GETTING setS OF 10 WITH 275 WELL, 10, 10, 8.. AROUND THERE. AND I THOUGHT THE FREE WEIGHT BENCH WOULD suck. but, i STILL KEPT MY deltS AND TRIs sTRONG. I FEEL PRETTY GOOD ABOUT IT.. THE MOst i ever got 275 for waS 14 REpS AND A NEGATIVE. I REALLY WANNA HIT 405. my wriST Isnt fully recovered, one it iS, IM GONNA TRY TO GET PAst my record of 365. when i even attempt 405, i promiSE somehow ill tape it and put it on here.

Congrats on your recovery brother!! Good to see your back! I know how it is. Im just now getting back myself. Ive been adding the 5X5 routine (with extra volume) into my chest routine, and I like the progress so far. This week is 290 for 5X5. Hope to get it over 300 soon, and then I should be close to where I was (315x7,275x15,325x5.370x1). Inclines are finally catching up again too. Stay pumped for that 405!!
