i mostly enjoy being with her. she has shortcomings but so did a lot of other women i dated. i want to think she fulfills most of my emotional needs

Everyone has shortcomings, that is not the point.

I saw this on the side of a bus downtown, part of a relationship managment organization and I think it is shockingly fitting.

There are three reasons I feel that one should use after all the other personal criteria has been met when choosing a life partner:

1. LIKE (has nothing to do with sex. It is what happens before and after.)

2. RESPECT.

3. COMMON LIFE GOALS.

So far I haven't seen you talk about any of those. All I heard is that "you think she has a good attitude" (Course I don't know how that could be when she is 25 lives at home and isn't really motivated to get much for herself out of life) and that YOU THINK she meets most of YOUR emotional needs.

I am not beating you up so please don't feel that way. I am just trying to help you think more clearly WITHOUT the use of your pecker.

shoot: getting late also - bedtime soon. -- we are definitely opposites with that also - shes not a morning person whereas i am, hence i sleep early..

See that is part of a personal preference. For me it would also be mandatory partially because I require a lot of mental stimulation, my preference is RAPIER WIT.

well my fiancee got laid off a little while ago and has been looking for another job. she's blown all her savings on bills/living expenses since losing it and thinks i should pay for her gas.. A few times I put in without her even asking so I guess she got used to taht and started expecting me to do it... I didnt one time and she got upset and said "you're my fiancee, you should be doing that"

I couldn't agree more. Life is far too serious all on its own. No need to add to the gravity of shitty situation by "whoa is me-ing" about it.

Laughter truly is the best medicine. If I didn't laugh so much, I'd be doing a helluva lot more crying and believe me when I tell you I've cried more than a few rivers.
