no daughter of mine will join the military. dads must really hate their daughters, if they send them away to foreign lands full of thousands of horny guys with total immunity on anything they do.

Something does not add up. Sure she was drunk and well over the legal BAC limit. Still this no excuse or carte blanche inviation for rape and sexual assault.

It turns out that the trial was her choice as she felt like she would get a better chance to make her case. She could have just chosen to go along with the non judical consequences that she was first given.

The part that makes me uncomfortalbe is that she willingly went from the party to one of the accused dorm rooms. She still has the right to be safe in her person and from sexual assault, but that is not a smart move on her part.

If these guys did in fact rape her, I believe they need to be tried and punnished as criminals--no doubt. I also believe that the victim should be able to sue in cival court as well if the allegations that she made against the men are true. I also believe that IF she is making false allegations against these men, they should have the right to persue action againster her in a cival court as well. However, I have no idea if she has that legal (cival lawsuit) rememdy available due to this being a military court.

The ironic thing is this--becuase she refused to testify against one of the accused, and becuase she chose not to accept the non judicial consequenses that were given to her and the accused males, she now has to testify at her Trial to see whether she will be kicked out of the military.

If I were this woman, I would prefer to have this matter tried in the civialian Courts as from what I can tell the cililian Court system would give the alleged victim more opportunity to tell her story and to call witnesses ect.

I just hope that the truth prevails and that Justice is served.

To the Women of EF, what should happen to this women if she has made false allegations and was not a victim of rape?

So to the men on EF-what should happen to these guys if they did infact rape this woman as alleged?

it's widely understood in the military:

if a girls drunk -- she's fair game. no one will believe her anyways.

and if she's a foreigner on a foreign land (vietnam, iraq, etc.) - everyone can join in! she's worth nothing.
