back on sub-topic, I think upping the tax on smokes is a safe move

Think, 47 mill smokers, a pack a day, +$3 more spent a day.. 121 million daily, just on this tax increase. Some gwap

Plus, this will save lives from people stopping, most won't but alot will try, some will succeed

It's not hurting anyone but the people that are already killing themselves off already

Of course it's a safe move, nobody has sympathy for smokers. Obama under funded the bill knowing he could get SCHIP funding from the general budget.
