in any emergency situation, where the authorities are on hand, the best thing to do is mind your own beeswax and let the trained personnel do their job. . .everytime i come across an accident on the highway and traffic comes to a standstill because of fucking rubberneckers, i feel like shotgunning every single one of them. . .GET YOUR FUCKING CAR THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY ASSHOLE BEFORE YOU CAUSE ANOTHER ACCIDENT. . .

that's a bit different. no one driving in this instance

but yeah i fuckin HATE rubberneckers

it's the exact same frame of mind though. . .mind your own fucking business. . .let the professionals attend to the victims. . .and go back to living your own life instead of deriving some fucked-up, perverse glee by reveling in the misfortunes of others. . .

drowning and getting into a car accident are completely different. you pass by someone, its over. 20 seconds later you forgot about because you're 500 yards down the road

you're in your car to get somewhere. you're at the beach for enjoyment.

if someone dies near you, dont you think that fucks up your experience/frame of mind? if anything, a natural sense of concern would arise because as a person on foot...you may be able to attend to/help the victim prior to people arriving

if the emergency officials are on the scene? go back to living YOUR life and leave the dead and/or injured to the professionals.

would i feel different about my day at the beach? umm, yeah. . .i'm not like a robot. . .i'd probably keep a much better eye on my own children too. but would i become involved in and possibly hinder the process that the paid professionals are already attending to? no fucking way. . .that's THEIR job and the only thing that i am empowered to do is to get the hell out of THIER way and let them do THEIR job. . .
